Which teams will go through? (Choose 2, please)
Re: EURO 2016 France - Group F
Robert Almer was 2nd GK at Hannover the season before he went to Austria Wien last season, so he is not really too convincing. Moreover, he ios not really a modern goalie and not really good with his feetlRealGunner wrote:Austria aren't a great team though. Can't expect anything better. Their defence and GK look like a mess.
The second option would be Ramazan "Rambo" Özcan of FC Ingolstadt, who is okay, but not extraordinary, too. I might have chosen him noneless, as he faces higher class opponents in the German Bundesliga weekly, other than Robert Almer in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Buyern are wasting him imo.
I've seen countless world class performances by Alaba as left back, false left backTM, centre back and box to box centre backTM.
I've yet to see a world class performance from him in midfield.

LOL. CR7 wanted to appear larger than he is in today's team photo, but Rui Patricio decided he wouldn't take this nonsense and look too small next to him:

How lucky was this Austrian team today ? Simply terrible.
Even more terrible from Portugal to miss all those chances.

He certainly has all the characteristics to become a top box to box midfielder. I think his full potential can be realized in midfield and Austria's coach recognizes it as well.

So the best Austria can finish now is 3rd assuming Portugal win their last game against Hungary. With woeful end product like today, they might not even achieve that.

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group F
LOL at ARD interviewing David Alaba...
Reporter: What did you think when Ronaldo was about to take the penalty?
Alaba: F*k!!
(And the ARD being the ARD didn't censor this by some beep or so XD )
Now the same reporter interviewed Robert Almer...
Reporter: David Alaba just told us that he thought the f-word when Portugal got the penalty. What about you?
Almer: I thought the same.

Guerreiro looked pretty great today though.
BVB might have found a good player for their notorious problem area.

Has to be said, whoever that played for Austria on the right(cant remember the name) looked pretty cack. Looked like a division 2 footballer to me.

We still need to seem him tested against good attacking teams .
It's natural that he'd look good going forward since he often plays as a LW / LM for his club .

You are on to something there. Florian Klein was the RB and he just got relegated to the 2nd division with VfB Stuttgart. And the RW Marcel Sabitzer plays for RB Leipzig who still were in the 2nd division last season XDS wrote:Has to be said, whoever that played for Austria on the right(cant remember the name) looked pretty cack. More than one :'(
Anyway we are almost sure to qualify now, we need one more 3-pointer 3rd placed team and we are qualified regardless of the last round matches of our group.
It would be still kinda amazing to snatch a point from Portugal though. Sadly they are really in need of a win now. But if Ronaldo keeps on choking like this, we might have a slight chance to do it
Also haven't seen us dominating in a national game for a long time like we did yesterday. Just wow.

Szia
we were lacking a bit of sharpness vs Iceland, but dominated possession and were in their final third for most of the match..
Against Austria, we were amazing.
btw, my good Polish friend, also a UFC champion watched our match vs Austria and sent me this pic afterwards with a nice message.
- Spoiler:
Obviously Poland is my 2nd team.
