Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Tom Kalas wants to make his loan to Boro permanent.
http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelseas-tomas-kalas-discusses-future-11346368
It's probably time to, he is now 23 and has seemly gone the way of Bertrand, Romeu, or McEachran, where he is no longer the youngest and most talented we have in his position.

Calciomercatoweb are reporting we have a verbal agreement to buy Asamoah from Juve.
http://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2016/05/15/asamoah-chelsea-esclusivo-accordo-verbale-la-juve/
Probably an alternative to Nainggolan.
In other news:
according to Sky Italia Chelsea are targeting Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli for our CB spot, that's more like it. He is a beast!

Thats great news if you are taking Asamoah off us.He is much inferior to Nainggolan tho who is one of the best mids in Italy.
Koulibaly would be a fantastic addition and gettable as well.He was terrific for Napoli this year.

Asamoah-Cuadrado swap would be the best move for both parties
- Spoiler:
- I am surprised Chelsea even want him.Guy's barely played last yr and suffered multiple injuries

Conte wants Asamoah since he is known to Conte.
Also, Conte wants a B2B and Nainggolan and Vidal don't want to move.

I understand that but i dont know if he can be considered good enough to start for Chelsea.
Chelsea have the money either way to get players of a higher profile.
Sounds too good be true for me.Conte is a legend if he buys him from us for 20M tho.He would be doing us a massive favor.

I don't understand it either.
If Nainggolan says no, then there are other options, especially outside of Italy.
I'd also like to see us give Van Ginkel a chance, since he has done well in the last 6 months.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
I disagree with what's being said about Asamoah in here. A fit Asamoah is one hell of a player and has nothing to be jealous of Nainggolan. Do not forget that he was a vital part and constantly a top performer for our side for 2.5 seasons until he got injured. If fit he can even challenge Khedira for the starting spot, I repeat, if he stays fit and finds his rhythm again.
For what it matters, I wouldn't want to see him leave, not even for Cuadrado.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Asamoah was a solid performer ,at WB for 2.5 yrs..He's had two major injuries since then and barely played any games in the last 1.5 yrs.
Asamoah is quality but Nainggolan is comfortably ahead of him right now who's easily one of the best midfielders in the league.
And Andrew, you cant be serious when you say you wouldnt swap for someone who was a key rotational player for us in Cuadrado with Asamoah who has barely played. Its a no-brainer for me.Cuadrado is tactically versatile and a brilliant player to have coming off the bench.Plus he's also more durable than Asamoah at this point.
Its an easy decision to make if they offer a Cuadrado-Asamoah swap.

Asamoah has never played on the right side. He'll never challenge Khedira for a starter's role(that would be Lemina) and Pogba wont move from left midfield(where he looks the most comfortable) to the right just so we can accommodate Asamoah.
Asamoah is at best Pogba's sub right now.Should sell him if a good offer arrives.
We're already looking at players like Diawara who was one of the breakout stars in the league this season.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
As it is now, yes Surag, Naingollan is superior and yes, I would swap him with Cuadrado BUT if there are any guarantees that his constant injuries are behind him and he can return to the player he used to be, then no mate, I wouldn't swap him.

I disagree.I think Cuadrado fits the team's needs more than a healthy Asamoah would. He's a more valuable option imo.
I think Asamoah needs a new environment where he can get back to his best again. Those injuries would've had a toll on him not just physically but psychologically as well.A new fresh experience would help.

I understand your point and respect your opinion mate. We will see how it goes.
Anyhow, on topic, a healthy Asamoah would fit the EPL and Chelsea like a glove and he's still at a pretty good age.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Interesting discussion.
I would have no problem swapping Cuadrado for Asamoah, assuming we cannot get Nainggolan and he returns to full fitness.
I do remember a fully fit Asamoah being a solid player, but two seasons of injuries is tough, but maybe all he needs is a change of scenery and a manager who believes in him?

I also assume he'd play in the B2B role in a midfield three. Something like:
With Oscar, Loftus-Cheek and maybe Mikel as backups.
Matic
Fabregas Asamoah
Fabregas Asamoah

A fit Asamoah is great but I would still swap him for Cuadrado. His impact this season was awesome, he has been such a fun player to watch after a couple of frustrating matches early in the season.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
On Chelsea targets.
Sabatini (Roma's director) has repeatedly said that they don't want to sell Pjanic or Nainggolan. On Pjanic they have no choice because of the clause, but he told Spalletti that he wanted to stay and they'll meet with Pjanic to make decisions. One of them will probably leave but I don't think both will. It seems like the only way to get Nainggolan is to make a big offer that Roma can't refuse while Pjanic commits to stay at the club. Its tricky. This is assuming that he doesn't force a move, he loves the club though, so I don't think he will.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Pjanic is being sold 100%.They have obvious FFP problems(need to pay 30M to UEFA by June) and have no guaranteed CL money right now since they play in the qualifiers.
I think Roma see Nainggolan as the more indispensable midfielder than Pjanic and they'll be inclined to keep him more than Pjanic.Sabatini explicitly speaking about the clause means they're resigned to losing him.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Yeah I think Nainggolan will stay and Pjanic will leave. Roma will be set with Nainggolan, Strootman, De Rossi in mid.
I'm not sure Chelsea can use Pjanic since they have Fabregas so he might go to Bayern or even Juve. Asamoah sounds like a good choice for Conte. They should ask for Allan, he only just got to Napoli so its unlikely that he'll move but he is top quality.

I don't think we'll be in for Pjanic. He won't displace Fabregas and we also have Oscar for a creative midfield spot.
I think Allan would be great, but I don't see it happening, not unless we fail to sign our other targets.

apparently we've had our bids for Koulibaly flat out rejected, so we're turning our interested back to Manolas.

Re: The 2016 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Two interesting reports from Italy:
Nainggolan:
Football Italia are reporting we've bid 42m Euros for Nainggolan, which is 32.5m pounds or, the Telegraphs valuation.
http://www.football-italia.net/84687/chelsea-bid-%E2%82%AC42m-nainggolan
While GdS are reporting that we're about to make a 'concrete' offer of up to 25m euros for Koulibaly. We'd also look to massively increase his wages.
http://www.gazzettaworld.com/news/transfer-market/napoli-defender-chelsea/?refresh_rum
I'd be fine with both, tbh.
