Doubt they're going to cast a 50-year old woman as Bond if they go that route. I'd love a female led secret agent movie, but it's not going to happen without some gender switching because IPs are the only thing to get made. Don't know of any famous female spies, except maybe Black Widow, but that doesn't really count.

Would love Emily Blunt as a female MI6 agent.

I Was a Spy! was made in the 30's and looks like it should be done again.

Very marketable idea to create a good female spy franchise.
