Not having seen the full games lately, just parts, but still: is it just me or are Liverpool starting to play some really fluid, confident and entertaining attacking football lately?

yeah we are playing well in patches. but we sill have a bad perfomence or a bad mistake in us. but what I'm seeing from klopp now is the improvement I was hoping to see ages ago.Hapless_Hans wrote:Not having seen the full games lately, just parts, but still: is it just me or are Liverpool starting to play some really fluid, confident and entertaining attacking football lately?

saw them against Tottenham and half Dortmund match but thought the same as well. With better players they will no doubt finish in top 4 next season.

I wouldn't say so. There's still quite a lot we could do better in attack, both on individual and collective level. Today's scoreline is flattering our attack a little.

Liverpool are defending crosses and set plays much better then we were. I was a bit worried about klopp after his first few months in charge tbh. but what I'm seeing now I'm happy with. when he buys a few players I think we can have a shot at top 4

The thing is if Liverpool now begin to turn it around and blitz next season the league, their players will get poached by the big clubs.
Already theres talk of Barca eyeing Coutinho. If he continues to deliver then he will be off, its as simple as that.
Same with every non British player.
(Its applicable to United as well btw (with Marial and DDG being frontrunners)).
So the next step would be for Klopp to acquire and groom another generation of youngsters and also touch top 2 as soon as possible in the league as Pool dont have as much as money as a City or Chelsea or United or even Arsenal and I dont think by merely finishing 4th will keep their best performing players from looking elsewhere.
With Klopp being at the helm though, Pool fans shouldnt be worried too much.
For us though.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
yeah I agree. but I don't think coutinho is good enough for madrid or barca just yet. so I think we can get another 2 maybe 3 years from him. our owners did well to get klopp tbh so they should back him in the transfer market as best they can. we need players everyone can see that. gotze would be a great buy for us if we could get him. he is a world class talent that we have a fair chance of getting.Glory wrote:The thing is if Liverpool now begin to turn it around and blitz next season the league, their players will get poached by the big clubs.

City will win the PL the next three seasons though, I hope you are all aware of that.
Kloppo will have to wait till Pep leaves to have a shot at winning the league.

football can change very quickly. if arsenal make 1-2 of the right signings I think they could win the title. if arsenal had a kante.RealGunner wrote:Unique wrote:arsenal ?RealGunner wrote:Chelsea, City, United, Tottenham and Liverpool will fight for the title for years to come

Yep, nobody thought Tottenham would be here today lol.
It's a pretty safe bet to say that City with Pep and all the money they have that they will be right at the top.
But the rest is very much up in the air imo.

Chelsea, City and probably United will have new managers, so you can't be sure how they'll fare in their first seasons. We'll have to see how Spurs and Liverpool strengthen over the summer. Leicester I suspect will drop down the table because I just don't think their players can replicate the efforts they've put in this season.
As for us... never again under Wenger, I'm afraid Will probably flirt with the title for a bit then drop back down into 3rd/4th like usual.
Only thing I'm sure is that a disgusting amount of money is going to be spent by these teams to right what went wrong this year.

Think 3rd/4th will be insanely difficult with Conte, Pep, Pochettino, Mourinho and Klopp all being competent and anti-bottlers.

Man City will win it next season, no one can beat shit teams as consistently as Pep does. Plus de Bruyne.

City won't win. That possession bs will take a lot of time for Pep to implement properly as donkeyleaguers don't have the full capacity to grasp it quickly.

Possession BS? what about Bayern leads you to believe that lol.
If it were the case Bayern wouldn't constantly play two wingers with Muller behind Lewandowski. You have to be blind not to see the difference between Pep at Barca and Pep at Bayern.

City already dominate more than half the teams in the league. Not like Pep will have to make Kante-Drinkwater-Albrighton play possession football.
Pep's biggest challenge is making that team a defensively drilled team, but the way Pep's teams play anyway it won't take a long time.
