Tried explaining this a million times, the whole he's over so he must be the no 1 guy in the company stuff is so unbelievably wrong.
By this logic 2 Cool where bigger than The Undertaker lol, he was never on the level of the guys i mentioned before and it takes a lot more than just getting crowd reactions.
Hell by this logic currently AJ Styles is one of the biggest in the company because he's over every week and selling out merch, but the reality is very different and he's not even a top 10 guy.
So yeah, the moral of the story is being over has never been and never will be the main thing. It's just simply one of many factors.
Onyx wrote:I'm talking mainly about his 08-09 run. He was arguably the most over guy in WWE and a top two face along with Cena. He was mostly main eventing and won 3 World titles during that period.
Just check this reaction out on Smackdown.

Sounds like Mole has some bias or disdain for Jeff, probably the only person i know to dislike Hardy, i mean, i remember RG calling him Mole Cena a lot. Probably explains it.

I like Jeff a lot lol, i'm just not delusional enough to think being over means as much as some on this forum think it does.
It's definitely not enough to be the no 1 guy by itself as i already explained multiple times over.

The following talents are being advertised for tonight – Triple H, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, The Wyatt Family, AJ Styles, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon.
Sounds pretty shite tbf
Although i have been watching PPVs and RAWs from past two years and it's still better than it was in 2014 and 2015 tbh, especially 2015 i feel sorry for Rollins basically carrying that garbage.

That isn't true though, people romanticize the past so much.
I have been watching past PPVs and RAWs and it's nowhere near as good as remembered tbh
Especially the last two years which are hot garbage outside of a few exceptions.
Don't get me wrong it's not great, but there has been much lower standards in it's history. Not letting you think that an era where Jack Swagger is world champ is somehow better than this.
Tbh outside the CM Punk era most of the years from 2006 till now is pretty crap.

Im not romanticizing much tbh, i know there were darker days, but by that time i wasn't wathcing much
Last time i sat down to watch was when Del Rio was champ, can't get lower than that

That's my point, there's no way in hell it's worse than that.
And unlike the Alberto Del Rio run, there is actually talent there to make it better. Let's not forget Miz main eventing Wrestlemania

RAW (and WWE overall) has been at a low point for years. Punk and Bryan's primes were when it was actually great TV on a regular basis. Nowadays we are lucky if we get a good RAWs between two months. This RAW looks shit without Shane, Lesnar and Taker. I hope Heyman shows up, we need a verbal warfare between Ambrose and Heyman.
Lesnar will appear on Smackdown this week though.

I agree with that, i don't think it's at it's "lowest" though which is what i disagreed with.
No way in hell is this lower than some of the years from 2006 till now.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 24
ES should have joined us on the prime of WWE legacy, which was the Road to WM30.
The build up and the eventual payoff at Wrestlemania was GOAT. That was the last consistently good run WWE had on TV, from Royal Rumble 2014 to Wrestlemania 30.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 24
I hold out hope for some reason that some of the injuries, plus the newer talent and promoted NXT talent in the future will help it though.
It's the reason i watch, the promise of a good end goal. Despite the fact i realistically know they will *bleep* it all up.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 24
I also got back into WWE during WM30. I stopped watching regularly like in 2009, but would regularly watch Wrestlemania. The last storyline I actually watched was summer of Punk, but I dropped it when Kevin Nash interfered
The product is awful now, but the talent is really good. It's just a shame so many of them are misused

I would easily take 2006-2010 over now. You had guys like prime Batista, Cena, Hardy, Edge, Taker, HHH, Angle, HBK, Mysterio, Jericho, Punk, JR at commentary, JBL, Booker T, prime Orton and a much better midcard compared to today. RAW was also 2 hours and more edgier. It also had that classic WWE feel to it as well that seems to have gone with the new generation of superstars.

That's fair enough tbh, although Angle left in 06 and Punk wasn't relevant till 2011 tbh. I was more talking about 2010-2015 though and most of that was crap.
Also while the talent was there in 06-10 i'd argue that a lot of it was shit, as they constantly put Cena and Orton together and ignored everything else
Remind you of anything lol.
