He's one of the brightest prospects we have coming through, definitely. I'd say he's probably the most technically gifted youngster with the ball for us, which makes sense why Barca like him.

Telelombardia claim Juventus have agreed terms with Valencia for Andre Gomes worth €35m plus bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia had already reported that Juve were meeting with agent Jorge Mendes and Valencia President Peter Lim.

Meh, he's only 18. You could see the occasion got to him. He was very good against West Ham. But I don't really see him making it with us anyways long term. He's not some generational talent or anything like that. But he'll be good for some Spanish mid table in La Liga.

What about Rossiter ? Used to hear great things about him a few years ago

Played one match for the senior side in the Europa League, I think. Didn't look out of place, but didn't stand out either. Since then he's been hampered a bit by injuries and the emergence of others. Still young enough that he has a year or two but if he doesn't make a breakthrough in that time he'll be moved on. Good passing range, strong athletically, and has a penchant for scoring a few impressive goals from midfield. But then, we heard the same about half a dozen or so LFC academy CMs in recent years.

Rashford is 18. Fosu Mensah is 18. Cameron Borthwick Jacskon is 18. Hence not an excuse. All these above kids have looked consistently decent to good whenever they have got chances for us.
I understand what you are saying, but for the hype these kids like Chirivella and others are getting from the Livpool fans, they looked underwhelming, thats all.

BTW I liked what I saw of Sheyi Ojo. That kid has in him to be better than both Sterling and Ibe I think. Already quite good in the past couple of FMs for me , Ojo, sort of a surprise package, so was kinda waiting to see him in real life and he certainly didnt disappoint.

Ojo looks to me like a young Yaya Toure playing on the wings

Kompany and Otamendi would be a solid partnership, if they had proper cover from the midfield.

I just don't think making another massive CB signing will fix City's issues there. it clearly didn't work when they signed Mangala, or Otamendi, so why spend another massive sum to fix a problem that should be fixed in other ways.

If they buy Laporte, their four CB's will have cost them ~130m pounds, and if they can't fix the issue with that amount of money, clearly something else is wrong.

Chelsea's CB's last season cost us a total of less than 20m, while Atletico's CB's this season cost them less than 30m yet they're some of the best defensive teams in the world.

But hey, why not spash out 50m on a player they don't really need, to hope to fix an issue which could be fixed another way

Mangala is uber shit.

Kmpany is distinctly meh when it comes to using his brain to defend rather than his physicality. Otamendi is a massive let down after unbelievable hype from Scrub Liga fans.
