Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
what did you expect him to say? coaches put a lot of thought into these kind of answers. a coach like mourinho will obviously call the epl the best because he didn't get the success he would have liked in spain. he'll also mind how he praises italian football, because even though he was highly successful, his inter side was practically the bayern munich of that league during that period i.e. signing the better players from direct rivals ala gotze and lewandowski. and, mourinho has been a bit opinionated about bayern
coaches will praise the leagues they've been very successful in. pep's not going to bash any of those leagues (spain and germany) because he's been successful there and is just starting his english experience. if he finds success in england as well, i won't be surprised when he 'whistles' and starts raving about how amazing the football, the culture, the people and the food are
its all tell them what they want to here with managers and footballers

Would be grand. Someone needs to bring back Milan from the darkness.
I'd like to see him build a team from scratch and apply some sort of long term philosophy.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
What do you mean Tito? He never said those leagues are better then the PL instead he spoke about people saying other leagues are less intense and easier is what he's arguing about. As he said when people see teams lose against Barcelona 4-0 they think the league is easy but forget the fact they have Messi/Neymar/Suarez, etc.

ES just trying to seal the future Milan move with his obsessive system of preemptive counterjinxing.
Like when you go to the Betting thread you'll see him betting on a Milan loss before every game

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
@winter, i didn't say he said they are better or worse. my opinion was he gave the expected answer. he's not going to say those leagues are easier, because he won titles there. my point wasn't even about his comment, but about why you got so fascinated by what he said....btw one can argue that having a good front 3 in comparison to many other sides makes things 'easier'
forget it, he's not going to milan, unless they experience some sort of growth in fortune, that's too big a risk, especially for coaches who have gotten used to winning things. they don't see the risk as worth it....milan imo don't even need an all star coach

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
MCFC paid just under £100m for Stones/Sterling. #FCB paid £127m for Neymar/Suarez.

City were bad today, very bad. This shouldn't have been 4-0. Also still don't understand why their best player was on bench.

It should have been 6-0, Barcelona missed two penalties.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
Stones and Sterling weren't that bad tbh. I was quite impressed by them, Stones made a mistake on the 4th goal tho.
Neither were City overall I felt their game play was good, but Agent Bravo doing the job
Pressure is going to be high now on everyone.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
The only reason City won 6 in a row is because of their god awful schedule in PL. Easiest fixture list at the start of the season than any other team.
