Pretty sure it's actually about wages.
They probably decided they'd need to get a high earner off the wage bill if they signed Pogba and Ibrahimovich.
Let's not forget that those two together get as much wages as 4-5 top earners put together, at Bayern, for example.
Which is why this so unprofessional.
They are not willing to honour the contract they gave Schweini only last summer, and use bullying methods, combined with smear campaign leaks, to get him to leave.

Moyes, the new Pep. Defoe, the new Aguero.

Pep winning his first game by hoofing, own goal and a penalty.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
A win his first game.
It looks like City is going to be a mix of Bayern and Barca. The shape and movements are really similar to the ones he had at Bayern. However, instead of an emphasis on crossing and transitions, City are focusing more on link-up and inside runs.
A bunch of horizontal and slow passing, which made the game a bore to watch at most times. The tempo will increase as the season progresses.

Was boring as hell to watch but Bayern were too at the beginning tbh.
I'm sure they'll be more entertaining as the players learn to inject more pace into their passing as time goes on.

I didn't get to see the game because I refuse to pay for both Sky Sports and BT Sport just to watch football but I see he won his first game which is really what everyone is after even if it was thanks to a penalty and an og.
I'm not going to lie here I would be overjoyed if tomorrow we pick up three points against Arsenal via the same route because at the end of the day it is all about getting 3 points on the board.

Should've been 3-1 that one guy decided to take a shot with his teammate not being marked and net being wide open.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
The amount of shit pundits are talking and will be talking all during the season
already in preseason I heard the theory of how Pep will have to get much better defenders technically than he had at Bayern and Barca, if he wants to play out from the back in the PL, because of the pressing in PL.
When the PL is the only league mostly without coordinated pressing
Now they're indeed driving this talking point how in the PL teams don't stop playing after going 0:1 down, but continue fighting and even can equlize.
Yeah because that never happens in Bundesliga. There, if one team scores a goal, the other stops playing. Teams never ever equalized after we went one up
Even supposedly out of the box thinkers like Mole have been brainwashed with this nonsense

In hindsight yea. But this match could have ended 1-1 too quite as easily had David Moyes not fuk up by taking off Defoe for McNair.
Its too early to make a call but today, Pep and city were lucky as f honestly.
Its disappointing because these are the games he should be losing points. And there you go, luck comes to their rescue. Once he gets into his groove they will be hard to beat.

Yeah, but Pep admitted last week City are tactically still behind even KdB said they weren't entirely grasping Pep system yet, so this was too be and I feel it'll be like that for a few games.

I think in terms mentality the lower teams in the PL are stronger than those lower teams on the continent tbh.
They are obviously weaker tactically, technically and in some cases physically though.
That's the only thing i subscribe to in your post though, the rest i obviously don't believe lol.

Well if Peps tactics are boring and we all know Jose' are then Manchester as a whole are in for a boring and likely successful season between the two clubs

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
All I took from the match was my disbelief that that negative, clueless pos manager was who SAF chose to be his successor, and that he was briefly the manager of Manchester United.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
True. Any other manager, Sundrland could have salvaged a point there. We saw what Phelan achieved today with Hull. And here we have, this coward putting 6 defenders on the pitch and trying to nick a draw. Feel for Sunderland fans, honestly.

Still weird that he hasn't signed any fullbacks, relying on Clichy and Sagna to start the build up in midfield was a little bit weird

Tbf all his starting CBs are injured so it's very likely the finished product will be very different. That being said, how is Fernandinho still starting for a Pep team

Random question. The writing on the flag in your sig, what does it translate to in English?
