He has a release clause of €25m (£19m) this summer.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Can't blame him, though. A year ago he was playing regularly and was becoming England's first choice left back, now he's an afterthought. Meanwhile Rose, Bertrand and Cresswell have all jumped ahead of him.
Speaking of Bertrand, I think he'd make a good replacement for Gibbs if Gibbs wants to go.

If Stones is worth 50 mill then we shouldn't sell Bellerin for anything less than 40 mill. I would be dissapointed if Gibbs left. Monreal is doing well but he still stands every chance of getting his spot back. all it takes is an injury to Monreal and a good run and he is back in

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Rodriguez has been linked with Madrid for the longest time though, hasn't he?
Definitely seems that way. Real close. https://www.instagram.com/p/BF4g7eYRrEs/?hl=en
Either this is lazy journalism just using the Swiss link to Xhaka as a springboard, or it's on to ... something. Personally I think LB is a low priority position to buy in this summer, unless Gibbs absolutely does want to leave. But I'd be excited to see Arsenal go for Rodriguez if so. He's good.

L'Equipe article says Giroud facing tough future at #Arsenal as Wenger no longer counting on him as first choice striker next season
It just took him 4 years...

A number of interesting situations at big clubs with players tipped to leave that might concern us.
Bayer - Gotze, Benatia
Barcelona - Bartra (release clause €8m), Mascherano (very vague on future, reportedly wants out), Arda Turan reportedly unwanted
Real Madrid - James

If we can't acquire the services of Griezmann, then we should definitely make some inquiries over James.

Aubameyang on the move
Hope we sign the striker he's replacing at whatever club he's going to.

"Hallo? Auba, zis is Arsene Wenger. Real Madrid are busy with ze Champions League final, zey have no time to sign you. How about you come over a little bit to ze Emirates and see if you could give us, maybe me, maybe ze staff, your autograph on some dotted lines? Do not worry about any legal writing on ze papers, it is just leftover scratch paper zat says 'contract.' Sign zis one too for Carl Jenkinson. It would mean so much to him, to all of us, Auba."

I'm down for James.
Will force Ramsey to learn to play where he belongs or sit on the bench.

Chambers being linked with a loan to either Southampton, Swansea, Watford or Bournemouth.

Bournemouth would be good option if they actually give him playing time at Center Back

We should have given Chambers all the chances Gabriel got last season.
Hope the loan move is the final part of his education. He is really talented. Just need consistent game time and he will be ready for us

The guy quotes kicker slightly wrongly.
kicker says that according to their information Rodriguez can leave this summer for a fixed fee of 25m € and they hear he wants to leave, too.
They also say that Arsenal want him.
They do not exactly say that he wants to join Arsenal

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
BTW, about the "Wolfsburg disintigrate" thing - this is actually more that Klaus Allofs and Dieter Hecking were absolutely dissatisfied with their players due to their lack of fight and spirit in the last season, and they already said before the last matchday that they want to get rid of several of them (particularly the more expensive ones, which is of course also related to the VW mess-up and the fact that they will get less money from the parent company in future) and instead get younger, cheaper and hungrier players.

Rodriguez had personal stuff going on this season, no? Mother died or something like that.
Aynway it was clear he'd be gone sooner or later, and if he indeed has a 25m € release clause then it's a no brainer that bigger, even if as in the Arsenal case only SLIGHTLY bigger, clubs will buy him.
Apart from Naldo and Rodriguez, who else is leaving that we could talk of disintegration?
I can rather see them with a better team than last season if they manage to buy a somewhat decent striker.

There has been some rumors that Arsenal will extend Flamini's contract.
I guess the only way to keep Ozil, we must keep Flamini?

I guess Xhaka was smart enough to include a "Sign my friend" clause into his contract from the beginning. Ozil should have thought ahead

@Hans
Yeah, his Mom died.
As for Wolfsburg losing players - Hecking started by kicking out the Lord not so long ago and afaik I read somewhere he was not so happy with André Schürrle either. Diego Benaglio seems to be on the chopping block, too.

Well the Lord was a nice, and really really stupid, idea. No surprises there. I'd be concerned with upgrading on bloody Bas Dost.
As for Benaglio, they have this Belgian kid no? Everytime I saw him come in for Benaglio I thought "This kid will be the world's best GK in a few years". For some reason I was always really, really impressed.
It would be important to keep Gustavo though.

Yeah, Koen Casteels has indeed impressed. My point was more that Wolfsburg are in a transition phase now, and I guess they will try to get their wages bill down.
