Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
So apparently Sp*ds made a late move for Rob Holding but were told he only wants to move to Arsenal

If Barcelona are serious about Bellerin? then he is gone for sure...easy choice for any footballer.
Bellerin is not ready for a big move yet, maybe in 2 years if he keeps improving.

Lol don't worry. Bellerin is not even remotely interested in leaving Arsenal atm
Probably will in 3-4 years but not right now

from his interviews he seems happy, but we all know the Devil agents who play mind games and force a player out.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Think if Barca are serious he might leave next summer. Not this summer.
You're kidding yourself though if you think he won't go there if they want him, sadly.

Its a 50-50 thing because he's so young.Often younger players(who play for big clubs/semi-big clubs) are advised these days to grow and develop at their clubs until they're ready to make that big switch.
Arsenal dont need money anyway.Ideal environment for him to harness his skills and become a better footballer in the coming yrs.

If Arsenal are serious about their ambition then losing Bellerin to Barcelona shouldn't be an inevitability.

We've been doing much better at keeping our players than in the past. But we can't keep everyone. Even Barca loses players they don't want to lose.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
It comes down to what Bellerin wants. If he wants to go then he'll go sooner than later and Arsenal will have to make do with a reduced fee as well. If he's happy to stay then Arsenal should slap a £30mil+ price tag on him and see how serious Barca are.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I wouldn't be so sure of him actually refusing Barça. That interview came when him joining Barça was not a possibility while now it very much is after Dani Alves' move to Juve.
However I think Wenger will keep him at all cost in his last season.

The Sun, Daily Mail and Daily Star (the unholy trinity of shit newspapers) claim we've bid £1.2mil for Rob Holding and want to loan him out somewhere, but not back to Bolton.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Just from the numbers, he didn't have what you'd call a prolific season. 7 goals in 41 apps (2,152 mins of football).
It was his first season out on loan but Iwobi has flown ahead of him in the pecking order.
More concerned with Jon Toral. He's been superb in his past two loan moves. He's earned a preseason and maybe a bit more to show he's good enough.

Emanuele Giulianelli (@EmaGiulianelli) says Wenger has inquired about Kurt Zouma.
Zouma is class imo. I don't imagine that Chelsea would have any inclination to sell but with so many managers coming in for big squad rebuilds this summer you never know how circumstances might fall just so to allow someone like Wenger to pounce on an opportunity.

Would also rather go for Stones..
Doubt there's any chance for Zouma to be available.. Chelsea is already losing Terry at the back iirc?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
According to Kicker, Arsenal have made an inquiry on Wolfsburg's and Ricardo Rodriguez' (LB). It appears that "Jonker has advised Arsenal to sign him".
He has a release clause of €25m (£19m) this summer.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
cant see it but hypothetically would provide us with nice balance
-one dynamic full back(Bellerin) and then the other more composed with passing/crossing
from the times i have watched quite slow and not the best defensively though
however if we were to sign a senior LB then i would rather sell Monreal and Keep Gibbs around
but doubt there will be any movement in that area
Edit:Rodriguez close friend of Xhaka?

Looks like Gibbs wants to leave for more playing time after England snub. Rodriguez not the first LB we've been linked with.
If that is the case, we better sign a *bleep* good LB as a replacement.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
If we're after a left back he needs to be as good as, if not better, than Monreal. And looking around at the left backs in Europe there aren't many.
Full backs that can actually defend > a full back good at crossing.

Frustrating that Gibbs wants to leave, otherwise this wouldn't be a discussion. Gibbs > any backup LB we could possibly sign.
