Tbh can't wait for this scrub to fail (again) and go back this time forever to eating his peasantry lamb's head and those disgusting fermented fish.
Re: Jose Mourinho Sack Watch
for the first 2 years at Liverpool klopp had us defending like Fulham ffs. Our defence is top class now thankfully but I still for the life of me can’t work out why it took klopp over 2 years to see Moreno is not very good at defendingCBarca wrote:Unique isn't allowed to defend Klopp after all his idiocy over the years

Mourinho won 3 trophies and was the only manager after Ferguson to finish 2nd in the league.
Mou won 1 non Mickey Mouse trophy, same as LVG. LVG finished 4th and 5th (tied on points to 4th, for whatever that's worth). Mou 6th, 2nd and 6th (sacked). LVG played boring football, but Mou made even that look interesting by how he played. Most importantly though, LVG was trying to build a long term renewal project, signing young players and developing them. He was trying to set them up for long term success. Mou on the other hand tried signing just short of 30 dinosaurs like Alderweireld and Boateng that have injury problems and wouldn't last more than 2 years anyways. As he always has, look at how Inter collapsed after he left.

all I know is, I much preferred our time under LVG from a spectator standpoint despite not attaining the same 'success'. I'll definitely remember that more fondly and more importantly he wasn't a miserable enthusiasm sapping *bleep*.
@KaLadin
That numpty makes it really hard to like him. Can't wait for Mourinho to cut a scathing promo on him now the shackles are off.

Whatever they did, Mourinho delivered the best results out of all managers post Ferguson. Last season he was 2nd with 81 points, if City wasn't so dominant and broke all records it would've at least been a proper title race. Van Gaal didn't have Guardiola's City to compete with, he had Leiceister . And in fact, in that 2nd Van Gaal's season, 81 points was enough to win the title. Not saying Mourinho was great for United or anything, just he was by far better than Van Gaal

Re: Jose Mourinho Sack Watch
Calling van Gaal's United better is pure Recency bias.
It was pure trash along with the World Cup hype he brought with him.
Far less competition in a league in obvious transition.
Overrated and Mourinho has utterly outclassed him each time he faced LvG.
ie 2010 Champions League Final.

Re: Jose Mourinho Sack Watch
It wasn't a better team (let's not forget it lacked the financial backing nor the established players that Mou's Man U had...LvG was clearly more focused on the future). However it was a team that probably had more going for it as far as the future was concerned.
I also never remember such an absolute loser mentality as United under Mou have had.
Watching Man U this season disgusts me. I'm happy to see it on one hand, but on the other it's disgusting to see what they've become. They play like relegation candidates against any top team. Hell even against half decent teams.

Sports fans make the funniest comparisons. Fact of the matter is, when lvg was there, people got tired of his bs and wanted him out, same goes for mourinho. Any comparison should be a 'who was more awful' comparison, than who was better

That rashford finish
Best thing that can happen to a young player is for Mou to leave the team. This guy has never developed any talent. He has always been at top clubs with top youth talent available to him and from memory the only one that Mou was able to coach into a good player was Varane.
Mourinho wrote:Earlier this month, Mourinho appeared to dismiss Rashford’s chances of improving in front of goal, by claiming that the 21-year-old needed “natural qualities” to succeed.
“They work very hard but it’s not about work. It’s about natural qualities. We need to score more goals,” Mourinho said.

I think that was more down to Varane having the right talent and attitude when he arrived as a 19 year old. Pepe didn't peak until a few years later, and Ramos was even worse defensively then(recklessness), than he is now. Pepe also got himself injured quite a few times, which allowed Varane plenty of time to prove his worth. Not only was he more solid than our other, two defenders, but he was far more calm and composed, as well. Jose may have simply recognized his talent for all I know, but I think the circumstances didn't give Mou much other choice than to rely on him.

Yeah that's very accurate, I think if Pepe never got injured Mou would've been happy to let Varane rot in the bench until he was sold off to Getafe

Re: Jose Mourinho Sack Watch
He's so incredibly defensive. He quite apparently can't cope with criticism at all, and is only ever employing whataboutisms to justify himself.
Safe to say, if he continues like that, and he looks like he will, he will never again get along with a top club dressing room., and I would be amazed if he even gets the chance to try.
