Funnily enough the product being shit gives me more of an incentive to actually watch it. Usually when there's no backlash and it's just a normal day at the office, there's no reason to watch.

So basically push Reigns = controversy = watchable product. Controversy is a key ingredient when it comes to producing compelling TV imo.

Was one of the reasons why it made Bryan's RTWM fun to watch. Same with the Summer of Punk.

Also think it was one of the reasons why I didn't like Rollins' reign. He doesn't cause any buzz or bring any controversy with him. Being a standard generic kayfabe heel doesn't cut it.
