yea, i mean one could easily attribute the players getting tired to Lucho not rotating enough vs lack of depth. Our depth did suck, but Lucho didn't really even give them a shot to suck because he didn't use them. Munir/Sandro were on good goal scoring form when given a chance bar the first few months and yet he stopped using them all together. Stopped using Vidal all together, and Turan just sucked and hardly even played. And remember the International breaks had allot to do with our players getting tired, something that is out of anyone's hands. Stupid ass International break landed in an insanely difficult part of our schedule and it ruined us.

yeah the scheduling last season was really rough on our players.
alot of bad luck but even then we went 2 for 3 in the trophy department i'd say it was a pretty successful season

Seems Bart has put the foot down. Said in a recent interview that 40 mil for young players can be more justified as they have more left in the tank and easier to amortize.
So hopefully no more 30 year old La Liga pensioners.
What I dont understand is why we werent in for Hummels. When you see him play, it seems as if GOD made him specifically for us. Can play long passes with either foot. Can play a 30 yard throughball with his left foot. Monster defensively and in the air. Best CB in the world for under 40 mil. And yet no interest. Probably not La Liga tested enough according to Enrique. Has to go the Getafe or Seville route and be above 30 to be good enough in his eyes.

I've lost count of how many times Hummels has flopped when it's mattered.

Verm to be sold to Inter or Roma for 10m, nearly half of what he was purchased for.

how would you guys feel if we ended the transfer season with umiti (22) gomes (22) gabriel jesus (19) denis suarez (22)

think we're tackling the aging problem pretty well but still unhappy if we don't buy a real right back.
also worrying if we do get gomes we'll have a huge amount of midfielders some would have to go.

Gabriel jacob- not seen enough rather not send at all
Denis- happy
Gomes- would love to have him at club

Perez from Deportivo (wtf lol)
Gabriel from Palmerieas (i like this type of purchase)
No chance of getting Gameiro from Sevilla because Sampioli wants him (thank you, sir)
Gomez from Valencia (I mean surely we must be thinking of booting out Turan if this is true, even though from what I understand they count on Gomez to be a a CM and DM cover)

.....and I've seen ZERO rumors or indications we are after a right back. That's about the MOST needed current position at the moment and nothing? I'm wondering if they are looking at options but the papers haven't caught word. There was a few rumors here and there like Darmian (or however you spell his name, from Utd) but nothing solid

Now we are in for Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg. Doesn't that guy play on the left, or can he play both left and right? That's a serious purchase just for "rotation purposes" with Alba.

So apparently what's being reported, that if we sell Turan to Dortmund, we can then use those funds to get Gomez from Valencia (plus it opens up a spot for Gomez to play in our midfield). Honestly would love that swap (no secret I hated Turan in our squad)

Samper is officially going to get promoted to the first team. He will only go on loan if we don't sign Gomez.

Also looks increasingly likely that Perez from Deportivo might be our back up forward. I'd argue that guys about as good a sub as Munir/Sandro. He's only had one ok season in his entire career, and honestly don't see this guy as a major improvement to what we already have. Not an impact signing by any means (pretty much he is another Turan in my eyes, unnecessary purchase that will offer little and will be gone soon). If the club wanted to save cash and get a solid back up, I don't see why they didn't activate Deulofeus buy back clause like they did with Denis. Would be a cheap purchase, and Deulofeu seems to be maturing and is great at creating chances (plus is cheaper and higher ceiling than Perez). Oh well, no use in bitching since it won't happen.

and lastly, the club is going to roll the dice with Vidal/Sergi at RB. I mean even Atletico are getting a right back from Sasuolo to rotate with JuanFran (some Croatian guy forget his name), and Madrid have Danilo and Carvajal. We are gonna Sergi/Vidal? lol

This RB thing is pretty serious imo. Add to the fact that Messi is turning more and more into walkessi and we are FCKed up as hell on that wing lol. The right wing will be easier to penetrate than  hooker in GTA lol.

I would be honestly shocked if turan gets sold..
his camp a month ago said he is in no way leaving, also it's been said barca are putting him in a special diet or something

although hopefully he does i'd prefer gomes to him

Rodriguez said publicly he's ready to leave and had a 25m € release clause which expired end of June.
Wolfsburg DoF Allofs said himself he was "surprised" no club came and activated it in that time window.
So if you wanted Rodriguez you should have bought him, now it's too late/more expensive.

I was impressed by Rodriguez too. Attacked well, good on the ball and good physique. If that is his normal level, would be a great signing. hans or rwo can shed more light on Rodriguez.

Due to the very fact that he was open to move as Hans said yet we didn't go to him proves Lucho doesn't want someone to replace alba. We stuck with him for good imo

May have been the worst player on the pitch in the UCL 2013 final but he did so much better in the WC 2014 final.

Pep is chasing Leonardo Bonucci like crazy. Why don't we do the same? After Iniesta (and Spain) went out I was backing Italy to win Euro 2016 and Bonucci to be player of the tournament but alas it all came down to one fatal penalty kick.
