Re: Transfer Rumours V6
PSG ain't selling us shit, lol.
I keep reading Mariano from Sevilla. Seems like a Lucho pick, La Liga experience and is 29 years old.

Other right backs not mentioned: Aurier and Sergio Arias from PSV.
Would be happy with Aurier or Bellerin.
Haven't seen any argentine football this season, sorry

Keep seeing Marin get linked to Barca, would be a great purchase, defensively solid, good brain, and is decent in attack. Very much an Abidal-lite if i say so myself, not sure if he'll start ahead of Alba since he didn't spend 3 nights in a Catalonian hostel

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Rumor has it we want Bellerin, Cancelo or Mariano, in that order. Apparently Bellerin is priced at 40m which the club is unwilling to pay so we are moving for second best. Enrique also wants a CB and sub for MSN.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I read we are interested in Daley Blind. I gotta admit that's actually a pretty smart move. Dude can play LB, CDM and even CB if necessary. One of those purchases that can help allot of different areas if players get injured or need rest/out of form etc.
I don't think there's anything to the rumor so it's whatev.

I can see the thinking behind going after Blind, not sure if United will sell though or if he is good enough.

Barcelona have sounded out Valencia on right back Joao Cancelo (22). He would cost around 20M. Halilovic or Tello could be included. [sport]

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Would be ok with Pjanic (sell/swap Turan), Funes Mori (Bartra/Verm leaving), Cancelo (Alves leaving) and Vietto (we need a good back up with loads of potential).
Also, sounds like we will be announcing that we signed D.Suarez back any moment now. So with D.Suarez/Rafinha/Iniesta/Rakitic/Sergi I see no point of having Turan if we are being linked to other mids like Pjanic. Unless we are planning on selling Turan, which makes more sense lol
That's allot of damn money right there though, no way we spend that much on players this summer. Not to mention Adriano is leaving, so we still have to sign a solid left back option to rotate with Alba

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Would we really move on Turan this quickly though? I don't think so.
I wouldn't mind Pjanic but we need that money going to a RB or LB, those are priorities right now. I would love to have Pjanic as an Iniesta replacement, but that's not where our priorities should be, we can live with the midfield we have for now. Though losing out on Gundogan to Pep hurts a bit because I feel he is one of the best option out there that isn't Veratti, who we aren't getting.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I think we would. If the right offer comes, why not. We sold Zlatan and took a big loss. And Turan wasn't even really used last season. It became pretty obvious Lucho prefers Rafinha/Sergi over him.
Btw, according to tranfermarkt, Denis Suarez to Barca is done (another guy that will play ahead of Turan, FYI)

Not familiar with him...ex-Barca B... where would he play if he does? Clearly just a backup player or?

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I see the club envisioning Denis as the future Iniesta replacement. He doesn't have the tools that Iniesta has, but then again who does, especially at his age. But what he does have is that he excels when played on the left/attacking role, which is where Iniesta plays. Iniesta has played on the left for a long time for us, either as a CAM partnered with a CM (Xavi/Rakitic), or as a left forward when Cesc was playing the midfield role. Those are both the roles that Denis played for Villarreal. He has great vision, but from the games I saw of him he's still very much a work in progress but shows potential, and more importantly seems to be improving by the season. We also did good to loan him to Emery at Sevilla and to Villarreal who both fought hard in the league and in Europe while he was there. He will now return to us having been taught by 2 La Liga clubs who always fight to the end and know what it takes to get the best out of players. His performance with Villarreal got him called up for the first time ever to play with La Roja, in which he will play this summer in the Euros.

Reports Dortmund activated Bartras 8M buyout clause, and that he signed a 5 year deal. Would make sense since Hummels left

It's true, Bart just confirmed it. Is wishing Bartra good luck on his new journey. 5 year deal sounds like.
3 days in to the window, official and semi-official so far
Out
Marc Bartra to Dortmund for 8M
Dani Alves to Juventus for free
In
Denis Suarez from Villarreal for 3M

I'm completely in favor of buying back Denis Suarez, but I'm just not convinced with him in Iniesta's role. We'll see--I really hope that he can eventually fill in. He's certainly talented from what I've seen.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Barcelona have brokered a deal with Brazilian outfit Corinthians to sign 17-year-old prospect Caio Emerson.
The striker was the top scorer as his club won the national Under-17 Cup, and his performances put him on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester City.
Barca, however, have won the race for his signature, with the player already have put pen to paper on a contract that guarantees him to the Spanish champions as soon as he turns 18. A deal is in place that will run five years.
Caio will go to Spain courtesy of the deal being conducted by agent Ruben Gaggiol, who was the same man who took Lionel Messi to the club.
The news will come as a blow to Manchester City, who have followed the attacker for six years and had held hope of recruiting him this summer.
Meanwhile, an investment fund was trying to by Caio to pass him to Chelsea, but the player’s future now lies with Barcelona.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Yay! Now we can buy him and loan him to some recently promoted scrubs with buy back option then buy back him for half million then again loan him to other scrubs with yet another buy back option. And when the kid is finally ready for first team action we can sell him to Stoke or West Ham.
