I think as easily as you think we are over reading things, I can say you are over simplifying.

Rest thinks they know better than a treble winning coach. Grow up.
Hate this point of view.
We're all average joe's that watch football a lot and post on a forum about it. Hell, none of us even have the credentials that Sam Allardyce does.
Does that mean we can't criticize Sam Allardyce? Of course we can.
Just because Enrique won the treble doesn't mean he is right on everything and we should very well discuss and question some of his decisions. Otherwise what are we doing on this forum anyway? Same thing for the fact that we're not at the training ground. Yes we should give Enrique some benefit of the doubt as he is directly interacting with the players. However, just because we are where we are doesn't mean that we can't discuss or disagree with what's going on.
The Barca section in particular had a LOT of problems with the Fabregas transfer when it happened. Most people favored keeping Thiago and not buying Fabregas. That didn't happen. In hindsight, who was right? We were. And that wasn't even Lucho (a manager not near on the same caliber as Pep), that was Pep himself.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I don't think it would be good signning because if we are looking for man that can miss open goal for us I think Munir can be that man. No need to sign another player for that. Just give Munir enough playing time and he will do that for us I have seen potential in him tbh

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
It would surely not be a good signing but I won't mind if it happens. Torres in a Barca shirt is what I would love to see even if he won't offer us much on the pitch.
It would be a free transfer too.

Terrible signing that would once again showcase this board's complete lack of scouting infrastructure

Oh. C'mon. Now I understand everything.
Even on a free, signing Torres would be stupid on every level.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I mean on what level can anyone justify the board even considering getting Fernando Torres?! Gonna be 32 in a few months, and hasn't been relevant since before the 2010 World Cup. All he would offer is a over payed big name player on the bench who would score less than Gumbau.
Jesus..

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Signing Torres has been one of my nightmares all these years. Fortunately, we've been able to escape his almost inevitable signign (according to the press) until today.
Signing him now would be less dramatic as he would come on a free and be a bench player, but it would still crush me on many levels, seeing a such unfit footballer for our style playing at my beloved Barça.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I know this would be a bad signing.
But its not my money. And I love Torres.
Board is stupid. That much has been established long ago and I don't plan to brag about it yet again.
I know that sporting wise he won't offer us much. But I can't do anything to stop this process from happening. Which forces me to look for the positives.
And I love Torres.
Wrap your head around it.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I mean I love Olga Kuryelenko; signing her and slapping her on the bench would be about as useful to the club as signing Torres would be.
We might as well sign Ronaldinho since I'm sure all of us here love him, lol. What a crap rumor (hope it's just a rumor)

Well, the problem is that you love Torres. How can someon love Torres, unless they are liverpool or Atletico Madrid fans? It doesn't say much about the footballers you like.

No, I liked Ter Stegen, Rakitic, Suarez, Neymar... so mostly I'm against the dumb signings.

Alright, let's drop this cause it's going nowhere.
City and United are interested in Bravo who has a 15M buyout clause.
Arda, Busquets and Iniesta have fewer in another news :p

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I'm surprised at the lack of activity by almost every big club in Europe this transfer window. PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd, City are all very, very quite.
Especially Atletico/Madrid have transfer bans and even then they aren't doing anything special or even trying seems like.
And then you got us, begging teams to lend us players with option to buy in the summer. Crazy window.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I would try to move Jackson Martinez out. Guys useless and they deff need a complimentary striker to Griezemen. Vietto is solid, but they use 2 strikers and Correra is still getting his feet wet.
I read they were after Icardo but know that's not gonna happen.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Transfer status of Nolito and Denis Suarez:
Nolito
Nolito has been a target since the start of 2015, but due to the transfer ban, the player did not want to miss time and chose to continue with his current club. But the Blaugranes kept holding talks with the club trying to work a number of different deals. Celta's contract with Nolito includes a special, €18 million release clause that can only be exercised by Barça, and the somewhat low fee for the Catalan giants' standard made this deal look like a foregone conclusion.
However, the Blaugrana are in a bit of financial trouble due to the huge spending in order to form the current Treble-winning squad. Because of the club's constitution, a directive board cannot spend plenty of money in consecutive seasons, especially if they don't get player sales in return. With the amount spent on the signings of Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal and only a few cheap transfers away (Pedro, Adama, Deulofeu), using 18 million on Nolito is a no go in this transfer window.
Which is why the club tried to work a loan deal with the Vigo club, adding an €18 million buy option at the end of this season, plus the loan of a young player (Sandro Ramírez). Celta seemed on board first, but the latest reports claim they've backed out of it and instead want the full payment of the release clause. The deal is stuck at the moment, with the Blaugrana considering a paid loan, similar to the deal Bayern Munich did for Juventus prospect Kingsley Coman. The Catalans would pay a lower fee to loan Nolito until July, and then they'd exercise the buy option, increasing the overall amount of the transfer to about €25 million. With five days to the end of the window, they need to decide what to do fast, or Luis Enrique will be pretty angry with not getting his most desired target.
Denis Suarez
Coach Enrique spoke to Denis on the phone about his desire to bring the player back to Barça this January, and the 22-year-old was reportedly on board with the idea. Now it's up to Barça officials to complete the deal: the Catalans have a cheap €3 million buy option to be exercised in any moment over the next two seasons, and if they decide to, Villarreal cannot do anything to stop.
With the return of Rafinha Alcântara now closer and Nolito's deal imminent, there might be a chance this deal doesn't go through because the squad would not be in need of Suárez. Once again, it's up to Barça officials.
