Terminator: Genisys

After watching T2 again I thought why not see this as well. In the beginning it was shite but it improved later on. Some interesting twists in there, however it pales badly in comparison to the first films, just like the other ones.

Loved:
Inside Out
Mad Max
Ex Machina
Kingsman

Really liked:
The Gift
Straight Outta Compton
Man from U.N.C.L.E
Ant Man
Southpaw

Blockbuster season generally disappointed. But I feel it's gonna catch up.

Inside Out is the best I've seen so far, and it's prob my favourite Pixar film of all time come to think of it.

personally found mad max mediocre

rogue nation was throwaway trash

heard good things about ex machina, will watch soon

southpaw was decent too, put it on a similar level as self/less

jake G was top notch though

I also liked the Gift. Good film.

Anyways Oscar season is just starting. Best movies of the year always come out late.

Rogue Nation was recycled trash agree firenze :coffee:
I want to watch Ex Machina again, but I don't think my opinion on it is going to change, every scene from start to end is still vivid in my mind.

Kingsman was soooo much fun, haha, but of course there can only be one undisputed leader thus far - Fury Road.

Don't worry, there's probably still about 20 films to get excited about for this year.

Yea Mad max was the most entertaining film I have seen this year. Fascinating film. Thumbs up
Man from UNCLE was a decent film as well.

And Ex Machina was the best overall.
The Falling was an interesting film as well.

But then I am waaay behind than most of you guys. Havent watched a lot of the films mentioned here. Need one helluva catching up to do.

Saw Legend yesterday, was a solid movie. I don't get why it got lots of mediocre ratings, thought it was a 7-8/10, it was unintentionally funny (seen all major releases and this one cracked me up the most this year) its a bit of Wolf of Wall Street-esque in that you follow a nobody's rise to fame.

Oh and Hardy stole the show

You may not have watched too many good films if you think it's 'comfortable'

It's up there, of course, but not undisputed imo.

Anyways watched Southpaw. Jake Gyllenhaal just doesn't do bad films. Good movie. 7.8/10

Straight Outta Compton :coffee:

Personally, I am loving this year so far. Mad Max is one of my favorite action films of all time. Straight Outta Compton is my favorite musical biopic of all time, Ex Machina is one of the best sci fi films I have seen in quite some time. Rogue Nation is up there with Ghost Protocol for me, really enjoyed it. Kingsman was a lot of fun too, even better than the first Kick Ass. Ant Man was also really fun. Only films that were ok-ish for me was Avengers and Jurassic World. Speaking of which, I had Entourage downloaded for ages, gonna watch it soon.

Firenze pls go at Mad Max being mediocre :coffee: Sicario and The Martian both are getting great reviews. Will try to watch them both.

4.5/5

Brothers
Never knew Tobey Maguire had that level in him. I'm struggling to think of anything else in which he was as GOAT as he is here. Shame the level of the film didn't match up with his performance.

Jake Gyllenhaal is in it. If you ever needed a barometer to know if a film is going to be good, he is it.
