Compton was fantastic, highly recommend to anyone who knows anything about NWA.

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
It was indeed fantastic. I went with people who don't know anything about NWA and they ended up loving it too. Recommended to any film fan really. Perhaps the best musical biopic I have ever seen.

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
Just watched Straight Outta Compton.
What a fantastic movie, candidate for best biopic ever.
Jason Mitchell's performance as Eazy-E
I've always been a fan of NWA, and pretty much knew their history and that of Deathrow (yes, I'm one of the older posters on this forum), but to see different aspects of their journey to the top was fascinating to me.
All the actors did a great job.
Gary Gray, always been an underrated director. Superb effort.

Yeah, agree on Jason Mitchell.
One complaint, they left out Dre Day and Real Mutha ******* G's. I felt they could have included those two songs and their respective reactions to them, much like what they did with NWA and Ice Cube's dis tracks.
It made it seems like Eazy had no problem with Dre after he left when that wasn't the case.

Agreed. I really hope it's all there in the director's cut of the movie which is an hour longer.

Maybe not an hour longer
But including them would have made it better.

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
Some TDT info dump
‘The Dark Tower’ Movie Gets a Release Date, January 13th, 2017
holy shit thats close! Unless they're adapting the first book only, which then makes sense (its a really short book). Though i dunno if it alone (the material in it) is enough for a 1:30-2:00 movie, always thought it and The Drawing of Three should be one adaptation.
Russel Crowe rumored to be Arcel's pick for Roland Deschain
Nnooooooooooooooooooooooo not crow, I've always envisioned Roland as Viggo
I'm squealing atm, this project actually seems like it might be a tangible reality

Saw Ex Machina. Fantastic film, everybody here should watch it. The ending was perfect too imo
Very thought provoking and Oscar Isaac impresses yet again.

Last week I had to watch Blue Velvet and Intolerance (1916) for an assignment in class. The latter was painful to get through

Pretentious pricks who wants to sound educated. It's important for educational purposes, but it isn't great or enjoyable to watch now at any rate.

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
First picture from the upcoming Bourne movie
Can't wait. It needs a sequel. But only because of that Renner one, hated that one. Don't want it to end on that note

My top 3 most awaited film of 2016.
Bourne series is one of the only few films I've seen over 5 times. Love them that much

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
I really need to stop this movie phase thing. I've been literally on at least 2 movies a day for like a month now. I've got to the point where I don't even have new movies to watch, I'm rewatching everything
