For me the ideal front 3 in that formation would be Ben Arfa-Payet-Griezmann .
But obviously Ben arfa wont be starting and Payet wont get called up .

Forgot Payet and Ben Arfa. Hope both are rewarded next internationals. If Deschamps calls up his tried and failed veterans
probably will call up 9 DMs

That looks so weak on paper.

It's " historically " weak since Ben arfa was always an under performing head case and Payet was an inconsistent mental midget .But on current form and pure talent , it's not imo .
Griezmann is one of the highest scoring SS / Wide forwards in the game .
Payet is easily one of the most talented and Versatile attacking midfielders in the world . ( plays as a 10 , both wings, ambidextrous , deadly passing and set piece delivery that could come in handy if we start with a donkey like Giroud )
Ben arfa's talent and abilities are undeniable if he manages to stay focused .

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
No there is talent. It's just very young because the current young good players were all poached. Kurzawa, Rabiot, Augustin, Lemar, etc. will come up.
The kids are already at bigger clubs like Martial, Areola, Kondogbia, Zouma, Varane, Digne, etc.
The tragic thing is that even the really good kids are going abroad early... Ambrose is at City for example.
Money is filtering to lower age groups more and more and that's the kiss of death for Ligue 1.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
Sad thing is, i can't see how ligue 1 can be saved at all. PSG are beyond everyone. Lyon can get a takeover and they will still take about 5 years to match PSG and that is only if they offer insane wages and money for players. PSG got rich in just the right time to get lucky enough to get players like Thiago Silva, Ibra, Verratti and recently Di maria. Lyon or whoever else will have to try and offer for either overhyped 'good' players or try and bid 70m each from top clubs per player i.e Marchisio for example.
I hope FFF can have few meetings to try and salvage the league.

Nah man that's the thing. Kurzawa, Lemina and Augustin are good to very good talents at best. THe likes you will find everywhere. Only Rabiot has the capacity to get very very good from that list while Fekir is the only WC talent in ligue 1 imo.
The way people(not you) talk about some of the players, you would think France is producing the next generation of Trezequet, Pires, Vieira, Benzema etc but these players are never going to be good enough to take France beyond semi final of Euro/WC.
Lower clubs can't stop their players being poached while they can't develop them either. Raw talents go abroad too soon and never develop as well as they would have. Fekir will move to PL/Madrid in 2 years as well when 60m comes calling.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
And to add to what you said RG, even when franch teams sign players from other countries, they bring such low quality that the talent doesnt improve. Look at Palermo signing gems from Argentina and sell them from high value, you dont see that in France. Teams like Lyon or Marseille who have a budget to bring in quality players dont.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
Talent's there... just very very young because the 19-21 year olds are getting poached now. Only clubs that can resist are PSG, Lyon and Marseille. Marseille are so pathetically run that it doesn't matter.
I just see this as a cycle.
The big change in footy is that the NT kids are so talented in France that you forget how young they are. I mean Varane, Zouma, Martial, Pogba, Griezmann, Fekir, Ntep, Kurzawa, Digne, Rabiot, etc. are kids and, in some cases, teenagers. Benzema, Giroud, etc. aren't exactly very old either. So the NT is extremely young. That never used to happen. You had a couple of kids... but it's almost the whole team now.
As a result, you need similar or better talent to push these guys out because they're certainly not retiring anytime soon. I don't see that kind of talent in the immediate class behind them... the U20s. But there's great talent in the U18s (the Luca Zidane squad). There's a ton of talent in that group. They'll start hitting people's radar in 2 years.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
I personally think the only difference between PSG and the other Ligue 1 teams this year has been Di Maria (and no WC in the summer lol)... after a slow start, he's been an absolute monster. Teams would bracket Ibra and take their chances with Cavani, Lavezzi, Lucas and Pastore in the past. But now, they can't do it anymore because Di Maria will just bury them. So it's opened the whole pitch up.
It was a lot more entertaining with Bielsa, an in-form Lyon and Monaco with Martial/Berbatov. This is a transition year for all these teams too.

I wonder if Lyon could pose a Dortmund-esque challenge in the future now that we could some money flowing with the new stadium.
