munir and sandro don't really offer much for the team, just kick and run football from them.

I missed the game but judging from the comments we played pretty well which is good.

Missed some key players in Messi, Neymar, Masch and Alves. With them it would have been a different story altogether. Also Rakitic didn't play for some reason.

Did Sergi Roberto seriously play right back? What the heck... Also Gumbau brought in instead of Samper. This is a great sitcom....

Some aspects were good and some aspects were bad.

The good was the play about 4 or 5 who put in some good performances.

I thought Suarez was lively and simply unlucky not to score at least 1.

Iniesta and Busquets played pretty well. So did Rafinha.

Hailovic is a very good talent and showed it. Rakitic was very good when he came on.

On the team side, I felt like we were dangerous in the attacking third and our pressing immediately following loss of possession was very good considering. I swear Roberto is in the team 99% because this is the one and only skill he possesses.

On the negative, our build up play was rubbish. When we got into the final third we looked dangerous, constantly, even with limited players like Pedro, Munir etc. However, we did it in spells, 10 minutes of sustained attacks followed by 25 minutes of nothing. The reason was because Verm, Alba and Adriano's distrubition and choice of pass. Verm was especially bad at this.

When they try and keep it short, great. But they lose patience so easily and play these bs long diagonal balls which get intercepted 9 out of 10 times. The long diagonal switches are great when your springing a quick counter from Pique to Neymar, from Marquez to Ronaldinho...but from Vermaelen to Pedro its just horse shit and it doesnt work Laughing

The defenders have to wait for the Barca mid positionally rotation so one of them can drop closer and receive the ball. If they are heavily marked they can drop it back and rotate again untill eventually one of them becomes free to turn and face the goal. Its basic Barca football which has been done for decades. But the defenders have to be pateint and choose the passes better.

I'm curious to know how heavily Verm is going to be in rotation this season. Surely Masch will still be the starting CB, but will Verm or Math be picked ahead of him? Utterly retarded they spent so much on those two given their age.

Didnt see the game but saw that Samper didnt get any minutes.
Scrubs like Scrubinha,Scruberto and freaking Gumbau got minutes but the best midfield talent since Thiago doesnt get any.
What the hell is Enrique thinking?Pre season games are to give minutes to the best youngsters.Pep played Thiago against Bayern in a pre season friendly and he stole the show.
What does Enrique do?Plays freaking Gumbau.
But as per the norm,Enrique being the club legend that he is will escape all blame. The blame will fall squarely on Bart.After all,it is Bart who picks the team and chooses which youngsters to trust.
