I mean wtf does Lucho see in Gumbau that's better than Samper? He hardly even uses Samper and even started Gumbau vs Chelsea.

Really hope we start off terrible and the people revolt, Lucho is fired and the board is forced to step down.

Camaaaan it's not that bad. The only thing that bothers me after those preparation games is that Gumbau got much more playing time than Samper which is truly a mystery.

Luis Enrique turned down Verratti when he was at Roma, so I don't know why people are surprised he isn't using Samper. It seems he likes players like Turan instead.

I dislike Lucho's poor use of youngsters as much as you do, and hate the board, but he's a good coach and can't be fired for this alone. I suppose you are possibly joking, but stil.

Ver surprised at Roberto's ability as RB. Don't you guys think he plays very good there? has great crossing and can push the ball forward dribling several players all by himself. Only pity is he's not fast.

I also don't understand why Lucho doesn't rotate in preseason ffs... he then will rotate like crazy in important games in mid season! Why not spread the minutes 50-50 between all your available players or at least 60-40?

LMAO they're not used to playing without Leo. He's the point of reference if tough gets going. You pass to him and he makes something out of nothing

Also I think we lacked Mascherano very much. His crazy tackles and agression is what we lacked in defence... they acted like a bunch of puppies lol

Sergi Roberto is decent at RB but he's no Alves ofc. Hopefully Vidal will be able do the work Alves has been doing the past 7 years

It's the pre season, who cares? What's important is for the team to achieve maximum fitness at this point, not the results of random games.

I dont think anyone is talking about results.Its pre season after all.
It is not giving chances to Samper that bothers me.We have a midfield crack and the best talent to come out of the academy since Thiago riding the bench while scrubs like Rafinha,Roberto and Gumbau get minutes.
At this rate,we are destined to lose Samper just like we lost Thiago.

offensively he is pretty okay i must admit but defensively..
i hope he is a last resort because one can only imagine what a player like ronaldo or bale would do to a slow player like him.

He's better than Douglas or Adriano. Of course he'll be behind Alves (and Aleix) in the pecking order but he's a decent option
