Telekom-Cup 2015
Sunday 12 July 2015 was the 7th Telekom-Cup which was held in Mönchengladbach for the second time. Participants of the invitational tournament this time:
- Borussia Mönchengladbach (hosts)

The matches are 45 minutes long and decided with a penalty shoot-out if they end in a draw. As many international players only returned from their holidays two days ago, the teams line-up with a lot of youngsters (except for HSV who played pretty much their normal starters).
Semi finals:
Gladbach vs Hamburg (0:0), 4:5 PSO
Bayern vs Augsburg 1:2
Third place:
Gladbach vs Bayern (0:0) 4:3 PSO
Final:
HSV vs Augsburg 2:1

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
In the top match of the 1st matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga, SC Freiburg currently give 1.FC Nürnberg a severe spanking.
Right now after the first half it is Freiburg 4:1 Nürnberg - and that with Freiburg having lost half of last season's team after they were relegated. o_O
Oh, and Nils Petersen scored a hattrick between the 8th and the 13th minute of the match
SC Freiburg: Schwolow - Mujdza, Torrejon, Höhn, C.Günter - Abrashi, Höfler - Frantz, Philipp - Grifo - Petersen
1.FC Nürnberg: Kirschbaum - Möhwald, Petrak, Hovland, Bulthuis - Behrens - Gislason, Stark, Schöpf, G.Burgstaller - D.Blum
Goals:
08.) 1:0 - Nils Petersen (PK)
11.) 2:0 - Nils Petersen (PK)
13.) 3:0 - Nils Petersen
41.) 4:0 - Mike Frantz (assist by Nils Petersen)
44.) 4:1 - Kevin Möhwald
47.) 4:2 - Hanno Behrens
53.) 4:3 - Alessandro Schöpf (PK)
61.) 5:3 - Maximilian Philipp
90+1.) 6:3 - Julian Schuster
FT - SC Freiburg 6:3 1.FC Nürnberg
Very entertaining match, this!

@Curtinho
IIRC, Patrick Herrmann was on the bench as he only joined the training at Gladbach later - he had extra holidays as he played for Germany in the international matches against the USA and Gibraltar.

Might go with Wolfsburg due to Lord, but BMG really interests me.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Wolfsburg is a bad idea. They are Germany's ManCity, only backed by a car company instead of some sheikh. Gladbach are a traditional club, so better go for them.

Doesn't matter if they're backed by a car company or not, what matters is who plays better football

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
@linetty
Well, in Germany, Wolfsburg are called "the wheel caps", and they are pretty much disliked as they have only a handful of fans (or as people say "They fit into one VW Bully") and they don't need to earn their money by footballing means, but can just ask VW to get some more money to buy players.
Moreover there is the thing that Martin Winterkorn is both in the supervisory board of Bayern München and the chairman of both VW and Porsche (with VW owning VfL Wolfsburg) - so you can very likely expect the top players of Wolfsburg being transferred to Bayern without much hassle, if Bayern desire so.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I will watch BVB just to see how the transition post Klopp and to see how Reus is doing before his move to United
Wolfsburg will be interesting to see if De Bruyne can continue his tremendous form from last season and if Wolfsburg as a team take a step forward.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I just noticed that 1860 played at the Allianz Arena - when I saw the pitch earlier, I thought it was some training field
I wonder if Bayern will manage to get their grass in order for the Bundesliga opening match, or it will look pretty embarassing, considerung how many countries it will be broadcast to...

Bruhs..what do you think is the chance of debruyne staying? Would be retarded for vfl to sell him now imo...what good is that money when you can't attract that tier of player, and possibly losing out on CL...

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I think he's staying for now. Whatever is being offered, Wolfsburg will figure they can get just as much next season, while also maybe finding a replacement by then;
also they'll probably not sell below 80m, which I'm unsure anyone will offer.
Since they're under no pressure to sell, they will probably only do so if the offered sum is more attractive to them than one or two seasons of CL footy.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Bayern will not try to get him this summer. Wolfsburg do not want to sell him this summer. He himself reportedly would prefer a move to Bayern over Man City.
Guess the outcome therefore depends how urgently he wants to leave. If he doesn't make a stink, with City offering crazy money, I'd say he stays.
