Re: Dark Souls 3

it's called Majula, talk to all NPC's there
Forest of fallen Giants is one of the paths from there

don't think so, there are tons of shortcuts around that area you're supposed to use instead

Re: Dark Souls 3
The mechanics are so bad man. It's like going from 1080p 60fps porn to 240p on a 2inch screen.
So glad they made BB and then eventually DS3 using the same mechanics.

Re: Dark Souls 3
core gameplay still the same though
i went from ds2 to BB so idk, but all i can think of was slightly faster movement in DS3

Re: Dark Souls 3
Really think this is more difficult than DS3. So far anyways.
It also appears to be a lot bigger.

Re: Dark Souls 3
Is DS2 even canon btw? the whole world seems so off compared to DS1 and DS3

Re: Dark Souls 3
a lot of people give it unwarranted crap (prior to DS3 when we realize the same criticisms apply) because the guy who created dark souls was only involved a little bit and the 'B team' worked on DS2 while the creator did Bloodborne. It is canon yeah. And I think it is pretty big, first playthrough only took me 29 hrs though. Some of the late game areas are really cool. It's canon and there are nods to it in DS3 but DS1 and 3 are mainly about linking the first flame/gwyn's line while DS2 is more about the curse that was started from linking the first flame and Manus (father of humanity from the first game) also DS1 was really dark and dreary but DS2 had a lot of lighter locations. DS2 is set in a separate land but in the same world IIRC. Although some people with Majula is firelink shrine from first game just in the future.

Re: Dark Souls 3
Despite my rant earlier, I am actually enjoying this game. It's not bad and still has a DS feeling to it. I am sure if I played it early on then I would have been in the anti-hate camp.
Those old women we meet at the hut. Isn't one of them the shrine handlady in DS3? or are they different people?
I have now uncovered 3 different areas at the same time lol. Don't know where to go first.

Re: Dark Souls 3
same char design in DS2 and 3 so I guess it's supposed to be one of them yeah
yeah DS2 has a lot of areas you can tackle in different order, I like that, DS3 only really had 1 split path

Yea I know lol. I stayed behind his back and he looked lost.
Both first 2 bosses been fairly easy. Had more problems with the mob enemy. That white zombie sword enemy is annoying ffs.

Removes penalties to player's health bar due to death and hollowing
User is turned human
Can be burned at the bonfire to limit all direct multiplayer interactions (no summoning/limited invading) for the next 30 minutes.
Required to progress a certain covenant
Unlike the counterpart in Dark Souls, it does not replenish health.
