Think its the fastest I have ever beaten a boss(wolnir) in DS3/BB. Took me less than 30 seconds.

staple of the dark souls series nearly shit myself when I saw they were back in DS3 (lore related enemy that weren't in DS1) worth farming them for their weapon/armor btw, armor looks GOAT and the weapons are insanely OP, man up and drop this fire fairy pleb build ffs, should be swinging a sword around like a lad

you fight the boss in smouldering lake? btw, in the smouldering lake ruins there are numerous illusory walls, make sure you hit everything you see lol

usually LADS leave a message if there is a wall. Got most I think. Went through one and landed on one of those knights

The one I was talking about was one time only guy (knight slayer Tsorig). Those normal ones are 4 fire ball job.

Went all the way up to stop the arrow cart but those two dual scythe wielding scumbags killed me


I went to the old demon king's lair once to see how he is like. Had no estus or anything. got 2 hits in and he fried me. Will go back again later. Think I can take him with my sword only but I rather go with dark fire orb which I'll get later on.

The amount of OP weapons I have that i can't use lmao. I see online people saying x is the best weapon n shit. I actually have 90% of those. But can't use them

oh tsorig, yeah, has my fav armor set from DS1, also before they nerfed it to hell and back I ran through the game to get my platinum with the sword you get from defeating him, was insanely OP lol, 2 shot everyone in PvP too and melted every boss HP bar in under 30 seconds

Yea the requirement for it is insane. Like 38 strength or something. Has a great defence too so don't even need a shield.


I finally switched off the ballista. Is there any way to control it yourself? Won't mind killing few crabs.


I have explored 90% of the smouldering lake now. Only a bit left but the ruins are a mess to explore. Awful enemies and no idea where i am going half the time.

Think Smouldering lake is pretty much my most hated place of all the two soul(counting BB) games I have played.

Absolutely hate it. But I am glad they put that in.

Just need to get to that 2nd bonfire and i can then go after the boss.

Explored all of the smouldering lake now. 10/10 will never come here again.


So now should i be stubborn and face old demon king as I am now or should i get the black fire orb first to make him a 2 min job?

Just smashed him ffs. He was susceptible to poison and one of my spells was poison related. Also found out I have a spell which makes me very resistant to fire. Used that to get those items from the lava as well. It was good fighting with sword only for once.

Huge area helped. Surprised at how much space they gave us.

I never tried any magic/pyro builds in this myself so not sure how it stacks up against bosses

quite curious to see how you will handle the next boss tbh, as I said I don't think you will struggle too much, but it's a noticeable difficulty increase, even a lot of the really good streamers struggled with it and not sure how backing off and throwing pyro will work, it might, but it's a super aggressive boss

Yea pretty much. Most of my spells are long range ones. So against Abyss watchers for example. I constantly backed off and hurled fire orbs at him and that was it

Against Demon king fire was useless. So i blew poison mist in his face(The one old shaman pos does in smouldering lake/Cathedral of the deep). That poison mist does constant gradual damage up to 1500 and then stops. So during that I just picked my moments and hit and backed off. Huge area so it was easy to escape all his AOE attacks and physical attacks.

It will be difficult if the boss is aggressive. But I'll have to change my tactics. One of my spell puts the pyro fire on my weapon so I'll have do it the old fashion way.
