Backwards compatibility is a huge plus for Xbox One and it may give me reason to use mine other than for a cable box.

Wish PS4 would do this and ditch the BS that is PS Now or at least implement a way to to not have to pay for games I already own. That way I can play my huge PS Plus library of games that are for PS3 that I got for free.

atmosphere and story of Ueda games are just so unique. Something I can totally appreciate in an era where everything feels like a retread. Graphics don't look up to par with the GOATS but still have a unique charm to them.

Mostly it's just my belief in the director being able to deliver a great experience. Expect a bunch of interesting features that make it stand out from other platformers too, you can see it's basically a combination of Shadow of the Colossus & ICO.  

I can certainly see why it isn't to everyone's tastes though. But I'm personally looking forward to it.

I wonder if it will be connected to the two games. I found out years later that the creators said Shadow Of The Colossus is a prequel to ICO.

Gameplay is going to be amazing, I can't see it topping Shadow Of The Colossus sadly.

The climbing looks the same as SoC but the environment and the kid look ICO-esque.

The really well designed and unique ones are fun as hell to play, I wish there were more of quality tbh. I understand hating on the shitty ones but some of them are really GOAT.

I'm definitely gonna buy that yarn game as well.

I love Uncharted, that's a platformer basically Same with the first AC. Just don't think that one looks good at all.

Also that kid yelling nonsense was annoying

Considering switching to NBA Live. Can't stand 2k's cheapness with servers anymore. Haven't played an online game, ever, without lagg. Even with my 100 mbit connection

Uncharted and Assassins Creed are not platformers. They are action/adventure games with some platforming elements. Free running from point A to point B does not make a game a platformer. Platformer would be a game like the Prince Of Persia 2008 reboot.

A lot of hours of the first uncharted was platforming from what I remember. Platform, shooting and cut scenes.

I suppose it's the FIFA and PES argument, I personally couldn't drop 2Ks gameplay for more stable online offering but a far inferior gameplay experience.

Probably the last platformer I enjoyed. That was really good. I should try more platformers but they just don't seem to coming around much these days. At least not Quality console versions.

There's not many quality ones that's true, that one's that are extremely fun though.

BTW Persona 5 is coming this year, surprised Sony didn't show that considering it's an exclusive.

I have never played one but it seems hyped as hell by JRPG fans.
