FC Schalke 04 decided to try to go the Bayern path and weaken their competitors for the European places by signing Werder Bremen's Argentine striker Franco di Santo with a contract until 2019. The transfer fee (that is, the buy-out clause) is given as 6 mio Euros according to "transfermarkt.de infos".

Oh, I forgot about Di Santo, the guy is 26 now. I liked him very much when he was playing for Wigan. Huge talent at that time in my opinion.

Blooper reels mean very little, yes, but Romero is still an awful signing. If De Gea leaves (which now looks likely), Man U are left with an aging goalkeeper coming off a major injury and another who couldn't even get a game at Sampdoria. Reason to be worried IMO.

except Valdes is being sold, and Romero is more likely a replacement for him then De Gea

and we still have Lindegaard who has shown he can play before De Gea solidified the #1 job :coffee:

Jordan Ayew from Lorient to Aston Villa.

Jordan is a couple years younger, though, and has just had his best season yet = maybe just hitting his prime. Whereas Andre is already in his prime. Andre should have better players around him, though.

André is miles better than Jordan. He's still 25 but he's very experienced. Jordan Ayew just had his first very good season. I'm going to watch Swansea and aston villa more now. Btw, Lorient bought him for 5 millions euros and sold him one year later for 14 millions.
