BarrileteCosmico wrote:Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed a plan for the opening weekend in next season's Serie A to feature matches in 10 different foreign cities.

De Laurentiis said matches could be played in New York, London, Paris, Jakarta, Beijing and Shanghai.

"I'm working on a project with the league to hold the first day of next season's Serie A in 10 different cities around the world," he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"We're verifying the feasibility of the project, which aims to help Italian football recover from a rough period."

De Laurentiis also said that the idea was not his, and that it would depend on the willingness of TV rights holder Sky Sports.

Carpi is 7 points away from securing promotion to Serie A. In modern day football they have never been in Serie A, and (now this is from wikipedia) they mostly played the last few decades in Serie C and D Very Happy

They got promoted to Serie B in 2013, amazing achievement if they secure the promotion.

There are a total of 3 foreign players in the squad and their stadium capacity is ~4000 Very Happy

Chinese investor Fu Yixiang reveals his colleagues want to buy Milan from Silvio Berlusconi and sell shares to 500,000 fans.

The Rossoneri are in dire financial straits and today La Repubblica claims they could even put plans to build a new stadium on hold due to a €92m loss registered in December 2014.

It would be cheaper and simpler to co-ordinate with Inter in sharing San Siro and restructuring the arena, especially with news the Metro line will be extended to give the stadium its own stop.

“China has chosen Milan because it’s a great club,” Fu told newspaper Libero.

“All the main investors are linked to the football world. The Wanda group bought TV rights company Infront, Jack Ma of Alibaba owns 50 per cent of Guangzhou Evergrande, which had Marcello Lippi as Coach and now Fabio Cannavaro.

“The Huawei group is a very active brand in sponsorship and already partners Milan. They’d all have the possibility of buying the club outright, but do not currently have the determination to conduct the operation by themselves.”

Berlusconi has suggested AC Milan is worth around €1bn, but Fu reveals a different approach to financing the deal.

“We could only spend that money by selling shares to the fans. You couldn’t do that in Italy, as there wouldn’t be enough fans ready to pay, but a trust in China is possible.

“It wouldn’t be hard to find 500,000 fans ready to invest. A Milan side built by the Chinese people could become an unstoppable star in the football world.”

I'd just like all the speculation to end and for someone to make a move so that this is all over. I hope this is Berlusconi's last season in charge, but at the same time we need a reputable investor who is committed to making this club great at the owner's own financial expense.

HT results

Lazio - Empoli 3-0
Lazio really in a golden period , it is destroying easily Empoli and it was not for Felipe Anderson . This testifies as this is a complete team firstly

Napoli-Fiorentina 1-0
Or should I say 2-0 ? Fiorentina with 70% of possession but Mertens scores a great goal and ... same thing for Higuain . But the referee , dazzled because of sun , doesn't realize it worst thing not even the additional referee near there
:fcepalm:
http:

Udinese - Palermo 0-2
Stramaccioni is collapsing. Udinese close to lose again and Dybala missed an open goal , it'd been the 0-3.
The 1st goal scored by Palermo ( Lazaar) was amazing though

Torino - Roma 0-0
Not a great match so far

Atalanta - Sassuolo 1-0
Denis with a  bycicle goal . !
Yes we saw even this in this afternoon

For the sake of the league I hoped Napoli and Roma will close in on CL places.

Now I don't think Lazio can bottle it from here.

Lazio deserve 2nd honestly. Playing with hunger and are in very good form.

This has been 3 months in the making for Roma so while I'm disappointed greatly, I'm not at all surprised.

We've lived a charmed life for far too long this season. Now reality has well and truly set in. We need this to rediscover our drive and hunger.

but why for the sake of the league Lazio hadn't to get the CL place ?
I don't get this hate for Lazio here hmm

Anyway Roma will be above Lazio already on next matchday probably. Lazio will play in Torino and besides Parolo and De Vrij should miss the match

Stingy Lotito + Players with not a lot of european places. Are Lazio are having a good year? Yes. Will Lazio capitalize for future expansion? I don't think so.

You guys remember Udinese? How they achieved 4th place but Guidolin couldnt pass the pre-season playoff? TWICE? What about Sampdoria? That's why Serie A Calcio fans don't want teams like Lazio have a place in CL.

And what Lazio has to do with Udinese and Sampdoria ?
Lazio is a team very good, it is built with intelligence , for example their midfielder is complete better than Napoli, Felipe Anderson was the player of the year in this Serie A , they have margins for improvement.
Then I mean ... why they should do worse than Roma and Napoli? All hope Roma and Napoli go in Europe in place of them.
Why what have they done relevant in these years? Napoli was kncoked out by Athletic in play off , Athletic was beatable, just asking to Torino.
Lazio , the team to snub Europe as I read always here , it got the Europa League quarter finals just 2 years. It is a result very good for an Italian club in Europe.

Lazio shouldn't qualify for the CL because Udinese suck?

Seems legit.

Roma got dumped out of the CL and the EL, Napoli couldn't beat a shit Bilbao side. Why are Lazio already failures?
