Re: NFL Thread Part 2
I already addressed it in a post aimed at Freeza who actually has watched the Packers.
Football is too dependent on defense, coaching, and other players. Rodgers is one of the greatest QB's of all time. But if we don't have a defense and if we have shit coaching there is only so much he can do. It's not like basketball where it is a lot more fair to put blame on Giannis, or Kawhi, or any single player (although it's still unfair to put it all on the shoulders of one guy).
We've failed to build properly around Rodgers this entire time. When we have had opportunities for the super bowl, they've been pissed away by other players/coaching (see: our game against Seattle in...2015?).
We've failed in the postseason but we've failed in spite of Rodgers, not because of him.
Thankfully, our offensive line, running game, and even defense look better than they have done if we can stay injury free with our best players. Which isn't even the case right now and we're still 4-0

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
coming up short means coming up short, you can make excuses as much as you want, but at the end of the day the history books and records tell the stories.
And that's why as things stand, Tom Brady and Belichick will go down as the GOATS of NFL. Aaron Rodgers, an all-time great QB, don't get me wrong, but that's about it.
So going off recent history, im not going to trust the Packers in the playoffs. That's my take.

Mr Nick09 wrote:so moving the game, to do more testing and to make sure there are no more positive players is stupid? after what's happening with the titans? i think your comment is stupid, there is no room to gamble with players lives. the incubation period of the virus makes detecting it a bit tricky, so allowing more time for testing is the reasonable thing to do, short of cancelling the gameYoung Kaz wrote:El Gunner wrote:ah yes i see, game moved to tomorrow, Cam Newton got a positive Covid test
NFL is so fucking stupid. What does moving the game a day back do?
Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore has tested positive for COVID-19, as @TomPelissero reported.
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) October 7, 2020
So, for now, the Patriots have QB Cam Newton, CB Stephon Gilmore and practice squad DT Bill Murray on their Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Dont you see now how foolish this was. How many more people did he infect because the NFL had to have its game this week?

Lol you absolutely should not trust the Packers in the playoffs. There isn't a single fan in Wisconsin who does. There is absolutely no reason to.
But that's moving goalposts. The question was about Rodgers. You shouldn't trust the Packers in the playoffs, but it's not because of Rodgers. The guy is the only reason we've had a couple of deep playoff runs since our SB in 2011.
Freeza was right. The Packers and Seattle are very similar in this way.
EDIT: As for the game today -- I don't watch Packers games. I watch maybe a couple plays of a game every two weeks. Really don't care about the NFL

I watched the game in background. Respect for Rodgers for playing until the end. Tampa's defence are behemoths, the Packers had no chance.

to free myself from this idiotic discussion, i'll revert to my first and final take. Brady and Bucs will win the NFC, thus meeting Mahomes and Chiefs in the Superbowl.
thank you, end of discussion

Whole Raiders O-line is now in quarantine. Good luck to the quarterback against Tampa's defence
This sunday i might watch Steelers vs Titans, they are both 5-0. Watch the highlights of Titans running back he is phenomenal, 250 pounds of brute force.
All major sports off (except soccer) means more time to discover NFL. Reminds me of that season i got into NBA because of fantasy, i got hooked quickly.

The NFL is weirdly popular in Denmark. It’s been like that for almost 20 years.
It’s one of the most popular sports in the male 18-50 demographic.
I’ve watched seriously since like 05-06. Haven’t had a great sleeping rhythm since

They need to stop putting the Patriots on National TV. Tom Brady is gone and nobody cares about this boring terrible organization.
Scam Newton is a joke. I remember him missing passes against my school in high school the same way. No champ without them legs.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Steelers won 27-24 and remain undefeated
Well Titans are a tough nut to crack. I wish they go far.
Entertaining match today, one of the good football games i've seen. Many unexpected plays, fumbles, interceptions, wtf tackles and a dramatic failed 3-pt kick at the end
But you could see those are 2 quality teams. Roethlisberger avoids being hit so he improvise a lot and his long throws are not very aesthetic for NFL level, somehow he got the job done in first half. Tannehill throws perfect cigars and overall he was more reliable. Career wise i know the former has earned much more cred.

You guys still follow the season ??
Steelers vs Washington tonight should be a great match. Last week Steelers receivers were disappointing and they dropped easy passes and that's why they struggled to win. I expect tonight will be a much more convincing win.

O-Line player for the Chiefs, this is simply an exceptional man. He became a certified doctor while playing in NFL, last season won the Superbowl. This season he opted out of his contract so he can stay in our province, and heal the people from Covid-19. A hometown guy on the cover of Sports Illustrated !!
A true example of someone who lives his life to the fullest, with lots of benevolence

Yes they might have been overrated, even by me
The strongest team in AFC is the Chiefs mostly because of Mahomes, but the rest of their squad is talented as well. Would not be surprised if they reach the final again.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
kudos, Rodgers putting together an immaculate season stats wise, even though Mahomes is a better overall player, i wouldnt be mad at all if Rodgers gets MVP because of his numbers.
Green Bay will still need to convince me in the playoffs though. Saints looking good too.
