Re: General Games Discussion
Like EA needed to do anything at all for FIFA.
Mass consumers are drones, and would buy any new FIFA game regardless of changes or not.

Arkham Knight to get Season Pass
£33 for a season pass? You're having a laugh. This is the f**king UK, home of quickly plummeting video game prices, the full retail release of Arkham Knight will be cheaper than the season pass within a very short period of time.
Honestly, Rocksteady haven't earned the right for people to just blindly buy their season passes, all the DLC's from their previous Batman games were pure and utter garbage, and from the description of the content I don't expect that to change.
They're probably hoping to trap a few poor uninformed fools with this pass though, hopefully there's not too many of them.
Warner Bros wrote:Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced the Season Pass and Premium Edition for Batman: Arkham Knight, the epic conclusion to the award-winning Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios. Both the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition are now available for pre-order from participating retailers. The Season Pass is priced at £32.99 and the Premium Edition, which includes both the Season Pass and the main game, is priced at £87.98 for console, and £67.98 for PC.
The Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass will deliver regular new content for six months post-launch including new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks. The Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition includes the main game and the Season Pass.

Im trying to get all items and skills. I agree that online ranked is bad but 2v2 and 3v3 is enjoyable. Can't wait for the 3rd DLC.

Like he said - One of the most impressive things is the hair. Polygonal hair is huuuuuuge. This is real next gen.
Just for comparison, this is how hair really looks like in games:

The fact that this tech is within enthusiast reach is mind-boggling.

Holy shit
Have worked a lot with DirectX10 and 11. Looking forward to 12 and see what changes they have made in the graphical pipeline.
Think this is going to be beneficial in porting games from XboxOne to PC. I don't know what Sony are going to do as their equivalent. I think OpenGL's vulcan project is same as DX12?

There's is no equivalent for consoles. Consoles already do what the biggest "selling point" of DX12 is which is low level access to hardware.

Re: General Games Discussion
Kerbal Space Program gets a 96 on PCGamer:
http://www.pcgamer.com/kerbal-space-program-review/
It joins the company of
Star Wars: TIE Fighter
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger
The Sims
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Minecraft
Spelunky
in the 96 bracket. The only other games with a higher score:
98 Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
98 Crysis
98 Half-Life 2
97 Half-Life
97 Civilization II
And I have to say, I can't disagree. Even though I've been playing it since last year it's my personal Goty. I can't fathom anything coming out this year that I'll enjoy more than I have KSP.

Re: General Games Discussion
So Rocksteady have actually announced the Season pass details for Arkham Knight.
Still not worth the money they want but if it ever comes down in price i'll consider it.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family
An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series - check out the first render of Batgirl.
The Season of Infamy
Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.
Gotham City Stories
Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks
Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.
Crimefighter Challenge Maps
Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.
Character Skins
A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.
Still not worth the money they want but if it ever comes down in price i'll consider it.
