Liverpool v Stoke

They're one better than us: Their points tally is one better, their goal-difference is one better, their position in the table is one better.

And it's Stoke we're talking about.

They've also been perhaps the most hot-and-cold blowing team in the league this season. They beat Man City at the Etihad, they've beaten Tottenham at the Lane, they've beaten Swansea... on the other hand they've lost to Leicester and Burnley at home.

We really need to win this game, but after watching us being completely uninspiring game after game, I have no confidence what so ever. Nervous about this game like it was the derby against Everton or United. I have no idea what to expect. Maybe we'll surprise and play well?


I don't know is Balotelli fit? Lambert has scored in his last two games, so maybe he should keep his place. Allen shouldn't start. We should play the diamond. I guess that's it.

Lucas played well I thought. Main reason why Stoke haven't been get to our half of the field.

Johnson at 30 minute mark gifting the ball to Stoke was soooo funny I dont think I've laughed so much in my life.

What a boring half of football. Has there been a shot on goal from either side? I know it's a game of two halves, but this one's looking like a 0-0 if ever there was a game looking like that.

Take Allen off already, I simply don't know what's his purpose in a game like this.

He's like Glenn Whelan of Stoke. You couldn't tell what his strength was but somehow he goes on to have a long career with over 60 national team appearances for a B-rated NT and hundreds of games for Championship / mid-table Prem sides. The problem is, we're Liverpool and we've bought a player like that. And we paid £15m for him. Stoke paid £0.5m for Whelan.
