Re: Liverpool v Stoke
Clean sheet, 3 points, and wages scored.
We're still very very bad.

Winning the league without relying on a star player (because everyone knows true elite teams don't have elite players, they only have elite managers).

To be good enough to manage us. It's as simple as that. He's not shown any improvements as a manager since he's been here.
He's been the same stubborn, arrogant, thinking he's won everything possible attitude man since day 1. And he's hypocritical comments have hit him for who he is this season.
He's been here for 3 years now. He's had 3 years to stamp his authority onto the pitch. 3 years may sound like a short time, but he's one of the longest serving managers in the league ffs. And what's he shown? That Suarez and Sturridge are deadly when it comes to scoring and the opposition fear them opening the space for others around them? We have no idea what to do in the oppositions final third now that they're out; funny how I was "so wrong" about that last season.
Seriously. Any competent top manager would have put a system in place. Systems whens you trophies, not basing it on two players to bail you out of your dreadful defending. Speaking of our defence... he's had 3 years to fix it. Hasn't really worked out has it?
His midfield balance is still so very wrong 3 years later. Not only is our defending all over the place, we can't even do much going forward either.
He refuses to learn. He refuses to accept the fact he's wrong. He continues "experimenting" when it's clearly not going right for him. How long did it take him to drop the 352 last season? How long has it taken him to finally bench Mario as the lone striker? How long has it taken to him realise Gerrard offers nothing defensively at all? (What's the bet he comes right back into it, I mean, he's the oldest player we have now no? So why has he played the most minutes on the pitch for us?)
I'm not going to go into his transfers at all.
We haven't won silverware under him, and it looks like we won't in the near future. The "rebuilding" stage has started again it seems. He's spent 220m or something ridiculous like that.
His comments about playing "brilliant football" despite not only losing but passing it around in the defence and keeping possession in our own back half with no threats to the opposition has tipped the iceberg. Deluded fraud, and I now can't wait to see the back of him.
