I wasn't so shocked for a change of manager since Gigi Simoni sacked after having won against Real Madrid in 1998.

In all honesty, it was coming. Newcastle fans lost faith in him and Pardew probably knew himself that he isn't going anywhere with Newcastle.

Now to see who Ashley signs. Best thing would be for Ashley to sell the club and Newcastle start new but that won't happen.

I can't imagine a GL without Mole's constant complaining about Pardiola Laughing

Pretty shocked though, don't think I've ever seen a manager being 'bought' like this before (Crystal Palace is apparently paying Newcastle ~3mil)

This is quite extraordinary that a manager is asking to switch to a smaller club, one that might well get relegated to the Championship. I take my hat off to Pardew, takes guts to ask for a move like this.

Should be hugely interesting to see how Newcastle will do after this. I guess we'll get an answer to how well or poorly Pardew was really doing there? hmm

I suspect the reason the Dear Leader Mole has been missing is that he used the holidays for a short trip to Haiti to commission some kind of voodoo magic.
He was successful too, it seems. However we all know stuff like this comes at a price dearer than just money.
Most likely he had to sacrifice his soul for the sake of his clubs progress, he'll return a zombie and we might notice a certain strangely dispassionate tone in his future posts.
