Re: Mobile phones Thread
the SD card slot doesn't bother me nearly as much as the lack of a removable battery. That is the main reason I have stuck with samsung in spite of an ugly UI.

get a phone with a minimum 3,000 mha battery and you'll be good for well over a day...depending if you're a power user or not

I don't even wanna replace my s3 with the s5 cause how *bleep* dumb these idiots were with the s6.
Anyone got any other suggestions that rival the s5/6, current or incoming releases?

[quote="El Gunner"]Samsung S6 or iI bought a S6 and I love everything about it except the battery life. I'm hoping this will get better with the 5.1 udpate.

Re: Mobile phones Thread
Guys, looking for some views.
I had a bundled phone+network contract running the last two years on my HTC One M8 with O2. The deal was that I pay peanuts for the network because I am paying for the phone over the contract period - in sum, about 35 bucks a month (25 device + 10 connection).
Now that I have paid off the phone, the discounts run out and I have to pay 30 bucks just for the connection charges. I am also on the last couple of months of my contract and can extend, if I choose to.
Like I did in 2014, my choice would be to go for a 2 year contract with a new device - that way, I get a new phone and pay lesser on my connection charges again. Plus, my M8 is starting to show signs of age - slowing down, heating up, battery drains over 8-9 hours on normal use (no gps/wifi), bloatware, etc.
I have been using HTC for over 5 years now - but not particularly impressed with their recent models.
I have been with Android the whole time, and I don't like Samsung - find the UI too cluttered and loaded with S-apps.
Nexus 6P isn't on offer at O2. S7 etc are, but I don't like Samsung.
I am thinking of switching to Apple.
I get a 40 bucks/month deal on 64GB 6S for 2 years, with a slight upgrade on my connection (i.e., 2GB LTE instead of the !GB that I have right now). (S7 is on 37/month with similar connection)
Should I go for the 6S? Or is 7 worth the wait? I am not sure what kind of offers O2 will give me by then.
I have till about mid-September to decide on this - and that's already cutting it a tad close.

If you can afford it then go for iphone7. Galaxy S7 is pretty good as well if you want Android

Re: Mobile phones Thread
I plan to take it on contract anyway, so I should be able to afford (as long as I am employed ;-) )

Re: Mobile phones Thread
Is it worth the upgrade? If you're coming out of a two-year contract and you're looking for a flagship smartphone, then absolutely – the Galaxy S7 will blow your two-year-old handset out of the water. As long as you're comfortable with the price – and it really is worth it – then you won't look back.

Re: Mobile phones Thread
I never made up my mind earlier on what phone.
Waiting to see what happens today, and more importantly, how the reviews are in the next couple of weeks.
Come October, there would also be the HTC-manufactures Nexus Sailfish and Marlin in contention.
Think I will positively decide by end October now. Playing the waiting game, pretty much.
