Yeah after the Iphone 10 introduced it a lot of low quality Android phones started copying it and now the cancer is spreading and it must be stopped

it's gone too far in one direction now. I am happy Samsung is not falling for it, and i hope the Pixl wont as well.

hmm..really like the look of those Huawei P20 phones

never really considered a less 'premium' brand before, but they look REAL nice, I guess Huwawei's pretty famous nowadays though

might pick one up when I upgrade my phone

either that or Samsung S9

Yea might consider a Huawei as well for my next phone. I've heard good things mostly, plus they're not as expensive as some of the other phones going around these days.

To be fair the top Huawei phones are just as expensive as any phone that isn't an iphone these days. The P20 Pro (~700€) is more expensive than an S9 Plus (~650€) here.

Huawei make top phones. Their battery life is better than most.

Latest update to oneplus 3 has killed my phone. Have to wonder if they did it on purpose so i can buy oneplus 6.

yeah, I actually saw that a lot of sites have the P20 Pro as the third best phone on the market atm..problem is a lot of the features I just don't care about, would probably get the P20 instead of the pro.

still got another 10 months on my phone contract but might upgrade early, even though there's nothing wrong with my phone, I just don't like the design compared to a lot of the newer phones (Sony Xperia XZ Premium) too much bezel

the OnePlus phones look pretty nice and powerful for the price, heard good things but my Phone Provider doesn't seem to carry them, so just the HuaWei or S9 maybe, IDK, may wait 6 months and see what's around then.

what will you get instead RG?

Got an S9 a few months ago. It checks all the boxes:

-Competitive/top camera
-Good battery life
-Headphone jack
-Great display
-Waterproof (thought this would be useless, then I went to hawaii and got soaked multiple times and this ended up being a life safer)
-Expandable storage (**** paying more for storage when an sd card can do)
-Wireless charging
-Easily the best looking phone in the market right now

Only thing I disliked is the Samsung skin of Android, but I installed Nova Launcher and now it's a much cleaner experience.

I prefer getting sim free phones because i have sim only contract and when i travel to other countries it's much easier to get a local sim rather than unlocking it first. Too much of a hassle.

I am not really sure. My mate got one plus 6 so i am going to ask how he feels about it in 4 months or so. But even then i doubt i'll get it.

Kinda tempted to get Huawei tbh. The most important features for me are 1) battery life 2) Camera 3) processor. Huawei and samsung fits the bill on that

But the problem is price. Both are over £500 which i consider absurd.

If you are going to pick between P20 or S9 then go for the S9. Samsung make the best phones alongside apple. Best when its down to android.

However if you can wait for few more months then there are some more phones coming out.

Pixel 2 XL looks great however expect that to be like £50 a month or something.

probably gonna get the P20 Pro next month

lack of headphone jack is a big deal to me but meh

Should be good for a couple years with that phone, specs look nice

I was gonna get the S9+ but it's a decent amount more and the S9 isn't that much of an upgrade over my current phone while it's the same price as a P20 Pro monthly

Xiaomi Redmit Note 5

Best phone on the market IMO considering the price (180 Euros). I don't have it (have an S8 myself) but I envy that battery endurance (4000 mAh).

There is a 4 GB RAM/64 GB internal memory version available. Android 8.1 is pre-installed. It's a great phone that lacks nothing (can't keep up with the cameras of 700 Euro phones and that's all but it still produces good photos). Can only recommend. My parents and my wife all have it.

My 1 year old Note 8's battery has been draining so fast for a few months now (I guess since the update they made back in March !?). Anyone experiencing the same shit ? I've been lurking around on XDA and Samsung forums and lots of people encountered the same problem.

The XS Max looks insane, too bad it's so so expensive. I'm thinking about activating the buy-back clause I've got on the Note to get the S9+ for Christmas, or should I just wait for the S10 ?

You wouldn't go wrong with the S9+, it's an absolutely amazing phone all round (btw considering you're coming from the N8, why don't you consider the N9?).
The S10 is widely expected to be a bigger upgrade though so if you can wait, I'd say wait a few more months.

comes down to budget I think. The s10 is supposed to be "revolutionary" so it might be a worth waiting 6 months to see what it brings.

Decided I ought to get a screen protector for once, I usually don't even like using cases but I figured I should get protection since I dropped my last phone a few times (luckily nothing happened to it)

Immediately regret it, *bleep* hell those adhesive tempered glass screen protector are a massive pain in the ass to put on correctly.

Really enjoying the Huawei P20 Pro though, impressive phone, though I'm def not using it to it's potential, especially with regards to the camera.
