FT - Switzerland 7:0 San Marino
That means Switzerland is qualified for the Euro!
By the way, Yann Sommer's nose looks fine again

it's not a case a team with Arnautovic as 5th CF won everything in 2010.
definitely legit player, for me best Stoke City player not Shaqiri

Spanish sources have denied this , no fracture , it's a trauma

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Well, even if the Netherlands win this, they have to win the next game against the Czech Republic, too, and then hope that Turkey will slip up against the already qualified Czech and Iceland. Will be a very uncomfortable wait, this.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
No Rwo, Holland are only 2 points behind. As long as they hold this lead and Turkey loses twice, they'll go through regardless of what happens against the Czechs.
I'm still pretty pessimistic because even if Holland makes it they'll lose in the playoffs, and they have no chance of beating the Czechs so they really need Turkey to lose twice.
Its certainly very close though, a lot depends on what happens after this game when Turkey plays Iceland. If Turkey wins Holland is basically out, if they lose things become interesting.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Hats off to Nawanka who finally makes playing the Poland as a real football team , using properly the international experience of his best players as Lewandowski, Błaszczykowski, Krychowiak, Piszczek, Milik Szczęsny and Glik too - yes, not just a fraud carried by Ventura.
Italy got qualified for Euro2016 today.
It's really remarkable the improvement made by Eder in these last 2 years, he has reached the phase where he's ready to play for a big team , and infact he'd gone in Inter if Sampdoria president didn't changed idea in last day. MAncini saw well on him.
Italy can't renounce to him atm.
Croazia is getting an important victory now, already 2-0 against Bulgaria ( Perisic and Rakitic . They chould be on 5-0 easily , they look like a better team after the Kovac' sack.(it was not difficult tbh(.
The battle for the 2nd place in this group is really interesting, atm Noway has 19 points and Croatia 17.
I 'd like Norway in a tournament again, t hey remind me one my first football memories, that epic match in France 98 with Tore Andre FLOnaldo

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Turkey got a questionable penalty and scored 1:0 against the Czech Republic. BTW, today Tomas Vaclik of FC Basel is in goal instead of Petr Cech.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Croatia is playing beautiful football. Kovacic-Modric connection is key to their midfield domination.Kovacic is a difficult player to play against, whe you press him he some times dribbles his way out and then goes straight towards the goal in a blistering pace.
Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
For me that was penalty kick . And the Czech player could even get the red card.
Turkey was playing for the 0-0 , it was the first chance created by him basically and casually too
It'd be a very bad result also for Netherlands
( I'm following all the matches because Sky broadcasts " diretta gol " , connecting every match )

Luckily for him , the Croatia sacked Kovac.
If Kovac was still the Croatia manager he'd playing as CAM now he 'd be meh . i know it because I followed also in NT when he was Inter player.
Never realized why some managers , not relying on his defensive ability , tried to develop him as CAM. He is definitely a midfielder.

Absolutely. When Real signed Kovacic i had low opinion of him because i only watched his matches with Croatia where he was awful as a CAM. In the world cup too it was pretty visible he was struggling in that role. Current Croatia is a whole new thing compared to the one played in world cup....cant believe Kovac managed to make this squad look like bunch of averages...he could not even get the best out of the best central midfielder out there.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Cyprus have won. Bosnia can now get into the play-offs if they beat Israel on the final day.
Wales lose 2-0 but they're through automatically to the Euros
Didn't think three out of the four home nations would qualify. All automatically as well.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Group B situation
Belgium 20
Wales 18
Bosnia 14
Israel 13
Cyprus 12
Israel bottled it. A point meant to keep the advantage on Bosnia (they won 3-0 the head to head ), but they lost a match in last minutes when they had just got the tie (after 240 seconds).
But these are 3 important points even for Cyprus , on paper even they could still get the 3rd place
I never would have imagined the Cyprus with 12 points a day ... The football is incredibly developed there.
