Surprised to see there isn't a thread for Euro 2016?

Here's the draw - not that the groups particularly matter now that everyone's a winner.

In fact there is an argument that it would suit England more to come 2nd or 3rd than first in their group.

24 teams is too much. The past format with 16 teams was better.

Probably the point about this is to broadcast more games and therefore expand the money profit. No problem with that but this "best third place" thing... come on man !!! it bugs me.

I believe this lowers the quality standard of the competition.
However I have to admit my curiosity to see the journey of smaller teams like Iceland, Wales, Sweden. There is a always a bright side !

The pool games are basically useless... nothing to watch until the elimination round games.

Well pool games might be useless for the big guns ( 6 teams at best ) but for 12-16 teams such as Romania, Wales, Albania it's an exciting journey. Most of them are going out after the first elimination round therefore these 3 pools games are the moment they would like to enjoy the most.

They have a pretty good midfield tbh. And Man like dzukic upfront

and a good defense, good team all around.


With Brozovic, Kovacic, Kalinic, Vrasjco and Kramaric in the mix.

This Euro isn't only about football unfortunately.

Preventing terrorists from destroying the competition is and will be a huge matter for the French authorities.

I was gonna be down there as well but friends started backing out after the bombings. Might still go to Lille if the atmosphere is still good but not to the stadium.

Wales' system is so heavily reliant on Bale. Without him they are going nowhere. Specially in the final third.
