We should at least get a goal from somewhere. Quality on the field and on the bench.

The XI for this match was basically what I would have tried from my armchair, too.

Decent performance from Cazorla so far, I think. Little sparks from Özil ... he still looks kind of rusty but he's starting to stretch his muscles. Figuratively. Wilshere and Özil's play in the lead-up to the goal was nice.

And Alexis? What a time to get a goal.

Credit to Besiktas for playing a strong, organized defensive game so far.

As long as we don't get a guy sent off (e.g. Debuchy, Wilshere), this should pan out. Knock on wood.

What I don't get though is why we are seeded in pot 1, when we never qualify directly and never make it past the last 16.

We should be in pot 2 tbh.
