Great vid Mole, despite being similar age there was only like a 1-2 year overlap in each of Kidd and Nash's prime and this was one of the meetings.

Why are going to be paying the tax for a 1st round playoff exit at this rate?
I don't think they are over the cap as of right now, but I could be wrong.
The Heat have a just over 67m, the cap for them (because they using their mid and Bi) is 63. The Luxury tax is 77 so they dont have to pay that (or repeat offenders tax which they paid the last 3)
I could be wrong on this somewhere (the cap) because im no expert on this. But I think the overall point im making is I really dont get why the Heat are hanging on to this false hope and committing long term salaries.
Albert Random @AlbertRandom1 · 1h
At this moment, Heat's team salary is $62.6 million, including Bosh's $20.6 million cap hold.
but again Bosh is the only long term deal they have. In 2016 they will have room for 1, potentially 2 maxes.
edit: they will go over the cap to sign Haslem and Birdman, but they haven't yet

The difference we are getting here is he isnt counting Ray Allen's salary, I read the Heat still want him (have Bird rights so can offer him 3m) but he might want to retire/join Lebron. Thats still up in the air.
In 16' with Bosh salary, lets say best case situation they can have 2 other max...its not going to be KD and I highly doubt someone like Westbrook...so we looking at 3 max, one of them being a old Bosh..plus no money for actual pieces.
Dunno..just not the way I would of gone about Bron leaving.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
They renounced Allen(and Beasley) a few days ago.
I get what you are saying but I don't think they had much of an option. They have no draft picks(Cleveland has theirs this year lol, top 10 protected), so letting everyone walk besides Wade would have them giving their pick to Cleveland since they would probably end up around 10-14th. And after that it would be difficult to attract any FA's.
And yeah I don't see Durant going to Miami. I don't think he goes to the Wizards either, seems like an OKC lifer but depends on what happens with OKC the next 2 years.

Who's going to be playmaker for the Pacers this season now that Lance is gone? They need a PG in the worst way.

They renounced Allen? Wow. What im reading about them wanting him back dont mention that at all.
Anyway, fair points. We will see what happens with them, I dont even see how 69 year old Riley is going to stick around to rebuild this team.
I reckon the Pacers will sign/trade for a point guard and play Hill at the 2. Hill can defend most 2's anyway.
Though according to ESPN they after Stuckey...which seems like a big downgrade to me.

I keep seeing trade rumours to almost anyone relevant lol.
If they want to take advantage of this shake up in the east they are going to need to.

I think if Bosh had went to Houston I think there's a decent chance Riley would've retired. Who knows.
Pacers might take a bit of step back without Lance or a new PG.
And yeah Stuckey is no more of a PG than Hill, he did have a good year scoring wise though.
Pacers, Heat, Cavs, Hornets, Bulls, Wizards, Nets w/ Hollins, Pistons w/ Van Gundy. The East is going to be really interesting.

Does Melo have absolutely no ambition to win a ring in his career?
The Knicks don't look like they'll be competing for anything for the foreseeable future.

I am waiting for someone to sign J. Nelson. Not a starter at this point, but off the bench he could be a very good point guard.
He is 32 now, he wont be that guy who once averaged 17 on 50% again but he is getting better and better at distributing the ball.
Maybe the Rockets could sign him now Lin is gone.

Why do you say that? They have Phil Jackson and a ton of money off the cap next year.

Yeah don't be surprised if NY are massive players in FA 2015.
Their roster isn't as bad as their results last year has led people to believe anyway.

3 questions
1. Are the Pacers a bad first half of next season away from tearing it down and rebuilding around George only?
2. Should the Hornets have any interest in Boozer?
3. Predict Pau Gasol's numbers next season.
Mine will be;
30 minutes a game
14 PPG
47%
7.5 RPG
4 APG

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
From what I've seen so far Caboclo doesn't have the lateral quickness to defend like that, even with his length. 6'9 guarding a 6'4 shifty SG who's been crossing everyone and getting to the rim all SL. Caboclo obviously has more upside but he's not gonna be better than DeAndre anytime soon.
Ricky Ledo should have a chance to make the Mavs rotation with Carter gone. Thought he was a sleeper pick last year but then he didn't play, but he's been great in SL.

I think the Hornets are contemplating, or have, made a waiver bid for Boozer. I'm not sure how that frontcourt would work though.
I have about the same for Pau, maybe a bit higher FG%

Forgot that was on tonight.
They gave KD his Best Player in the NBA trophy on the red carpet before the show even began. Lame.
Thought Damian Lillard might win Best Play but that Auburn play was great. At least it was better than the meaningless college football sack that beat out Ray Allen's shot last year.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
l think l've seen about 20x more episodes of degrassi with Drake than l've heard of him in songs.
Degrassi TNG was so amazing. Especially with the slight reminders that the show was made in Canada. l'll never forget when they where in an episode about the teacher sexually abusing one of the players on the basketball team and it transitioned to a scene of them playing 5 pin bowling with strings bouncing about. The transition to something so serious and hurtful to something as silly as 5 string pin bowling in Canada was so delightfully hilarious l'm not sure l've ever laughed harder.
Maybe l should have posted this in the " One more drunk, l am beer" thread

I'd be considering it already if i was Bird lol, Stuckey isn't gonna cut it. They need someone like Rondo without completely gutting their team and i'm not sure how they do it.
Also i like Boozer more than most despite obvious defence defiencies but i don't think Charlotte needs him.
As for Pau i predict 15.5ppg, 8rpg, 3 apg on similar minutes and FG%
It's a difficult one to gauge because it depends entirely what his team does, If Rose is healthy then its likely while he'll get some easy baskets at the same time Rose will have large majority of shots.
Then there's the McDermott and Mirotic factor, do they contribute straight away? If so how long is Pau on the floor with them at the same time?
All this things will contribute to what sort of numbers he'll end up getting. I do think his intelligence and length will be a bigger factor to them winning than his stats though.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Dont you think that the Hornets could use a 4?
Vonleh, Williams, Bismack..not sure any of them are good options.
I find it hard to believe Mirotic and McBuckets will see that many minutes to start with. Just because Thibs seems that kind, a little bit stubborn in my opinion.
I think a big problem with him is he wears out the starters too much, come playoff time they are always hurt.
Noah averaging 35-37 minutes a game is just not needed with their depth. He always hurt by the time post season comes around.
Drop him down to 32 max, Pau 28-30, Gibson 25 and Mirotic 10 or so.
Not ideal for Mirotic but thats probably the best he can hope for sadly.
Agree about Gasol's impact, I could see him being a Karl Malone for the Lakers/Vlade Divic type of player. Using his passing ability to get easy shots for people and going down in the post. His defence is slipping, but with Gibson and Noah they could cover the stronger offensive force.

Genuinely think his defence was more due to the pace D'antoni insists his teams play at lol.
Even if it has dropped significantly, he'll still be miles better than Boozer for obvious reasons at that end of the floor.
