Normally I would agree but after the FFP situation I can't see them splashing out on random signings. I'd imagine the few players they sign will be signed for a specific reason.

They have wanted Fernando since last summer, don't think it indicates anything in particular.

Just adding something they need, an actual DM for big games.

Far too easy to get through Silva-Yaya-Fernandinho-Nasri if your an elite team.

Nothing changes...they just have someone who balances the Yaya-Fernando dynamic and you can play Yaya with either one of them depending on the opponant.

How the fauq did they come up with those figures?

Costa-40m
Luis-20m
Godin-20m

We will sign Costa and maybe Luis. No chance on Godin, he would be the 4th best CB at Chelsea.

Only CB i can see us signing is Varane, but that is very unlikely.

Courtois : If he leaves, Kaylor Navas to replace him
Diego : Left to Fenerbahçe, Oliver Torre to take his role
Josa Sosa : Loan spell ends, Angel Correa to take his role
Villa : Signs for NYFC, Leo Babtista to replace him
Costa : Vela who isn't a natural striker to replace him?

I mean they are really downgrading in the spots that will be left other than the GK situation (if it happens)

They want either Soldado or Negredo to replace Costa. Atleti don't play with a short player up top they need a big strong player to play their football properly. Getting Negredo will be ace because he is an upgrade to Costa

Everything he does he does it ten times better. Negredo is good with the ball at his feet, very few can take the ball of him when he has the ball due to his strength, he scores shitload of goals and is a good header. Whenever Negredo played a big team with Sevilla he used to be MOTM whenever Costa plays a big team he plays crap other than when he dives and picks fights

Negredo is infinitely better than Costa heck even Soldado is
