Re: 2014 Summer Transfers Rumours Mk.IV
Real Madrid transfer market news went banana last night. i mean Banana, and it's giving a clearer idea to what the club is doing. Even stuff Marca posted, have been confirmed by Di Marzio, Jose Luis sanchez, ElConfidencial, AS, so multiple sources, including the most reliable ones, talking up the same stories.
Suarez and Benzema: Some directors at the club are telling Perez that he needs to sign Suarez because Benzema goalscoring in la liga is rather mediocre. Perez still like him and trying to explain everyone benzema is a different kind of CF; Carlo likes Benzema and would rather maintain BBC and isnt sure how a goal hungry CF would play with CR; and CR does like playing with Benzema because he is unselfish and sacrifices for him. As for benzema, transfer renewal talks are holding up because according to AS, Benzema is asking to double his wages, from 4.5 mil to 9 mil net. The same as Bale. He is the only player at the club that never asked for a raise, and coming off a strong season, he wants a big contract in his prime. Benzema absolutely wants to stay at the club, but what's clear is that we will not keep Benzema and sign Suarez anyway like some moppets suggested.
Verratti, Kroos, Kovacic: The interest for Verratti been confirmed by about everyone serious at this point. AS brought up some details like, PSG want a straight trade of Benzema or Di Maria for him, they dont need money. Madrid are ready to spend 40 millions... Kroos is the next name in line, and there is contact with his agent. kovacic is all fresh, that's from Di Marzio. we contacted his agent and Ancelotti is looking at him this WC (thank god he sucked last night), but he is not a priority.
-Ramires-Pogba-Vidal: Di marzio said that we offered up a trade Khedira-Ramires but Chelsea turned it down. That would suggest that Carlo wants a better box to box than Khedira. As for Pogba and Vidal, their high prices, 60 mil for each, make them complicated targets. According to EC, we got hold of Vidal night life stories which have made him a less attractive target than Pogba. It's not yet clear if Ancelotti wants to sign one or two players, but between Verratti/Kroos/Kovacic and Ramires/pogba/Vidal, the profiles are clearly different. Marca (since they have been right suggested that signing Kroos wouldnt stop the club from signing another player so it's likely that we still sign a B2B. That of course means that guys like Illarra and Khedira are done...
-Morata: RM are determined to have a buy back clause in any deal we make for Morata. there are 3 options: 1) we sell for 30 mil with no buy back, which is too high for clubs like Juve that like him but not willing to bid that high; 2) between 18-25 mil with a buy back. 3) he renews his contract and we loan him but the player doesnt want to do that. Ancelotti shafted him too much. Right now the most concrete interests are coming from Juventus who are working really hard to sign him, Wolfsburg and Villarreal. According to AS, he wont move until we sign a back up striker that will clearly come in to be second striker behind our main guy.
-Coentrao > Marcelo, De Sciglio: It's been suggested that Ancelotti is a bit tired of marcelo and his inability to play his role both ways. The club started the season almost selling Coentrao, but as the season went, Coentrao proved to be the most reliable, specially after CR took him under his wings. Now, we renewed Coentrao, he will be n1, and if the club receives a good offer for Marcelo, he will be sold. De Sciglio is a player that Ancelotti has wanted since last year, and he would be the n1 guy on the list to replace him.
Back up CF: Carlo said few days ago that he wanted to bring a young guy, there have been talks of Iturbe. Nothing new since,, and it's a bit unclear why there is interest in Iturbe as back up CF since he is a winger. Or it might be that we arent looking for a pure CF, as Marca (facepalm) published their list: griezmann, Iturbe, berardi, Lacazette, Destro, Origi...
That's what in the air atm. Not much on Casillas but seems like perez wants him to stay so the decision belongs to him. Nacho has some offers from a couple of clubs including Napoli; nothing knows what will happen with Arbeloa, although EC suggested Ancelotti wanted to strengthen both back up fullback positions, but not many talks about his future yet.
Re: 2014 Summer Transfers Rumours Mk.IV
Just because Suarez scored more goals than Benzema last season, doesn't mean he would at Real Madrid. Suarez was the focal point of Liverpool and the main guy. But the main thing is Suarez is more skilled than Benzema. Better dribbler, acceleration, long shots, skills etc etc. So having someone who does all that is a bonus. Benzema's inconsistent and sluggish at times. Suarez playing with Ronaldo and Bale won't be a problem. He can assist as well.
In terms of midfield, none of Verratti, Kovacic should be joining to be backup. They should be starting every week and that won't happen. We really should get Banega.
In terms of Morata, he's overrated right now and we might as well just sell him with a buy back clause and let him develop.

Yeh, he isn't worth that much. We should just sell him for €10-15m with a buy back clause.

Good. If true it means we're not wasting time waiting around for Lallana to hand in a transfer request or considering raising our bid above the already silly £25m.BeautifulGame wrote:@DiMarzio#Shaqiri (@FCBayern) is a @LFC target. Clubs are talking to find a deal.
I'm alright with that. Still not sold on Lovren being the answer to Liverpool's defensive issues and think there are better options to consider.Yohan Modric wrote:Barcelona are interested in Southampton defender Lovren, according to Sport.

Lol if a club is going to pay 30 MILLION for a youngster then they sure as hell aren't going to accept a buy back clause as if you valued a player at 30M in the first place you'd be expecting him to be a long term signing.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfers Rumours Mk.IV
yeah tom, you are right
that money, if we can rob 50-60 mil from arsenal for benzema, that suarez money
Di Marzio wrote:Juventus is still pursuing Alvaro Morata. Today Morata’s Italian representative Beppe Bozzo met with Real Madrid to discuss the sale of his client to Juventus. The contacts are continuous. On Thursday, the agent was in Italy to talk with Juventus and confirm that the player is willing to move to Turin. While the striker agreed to join, there is no agreement yet with Real Madrid. The Spanish club is asking for €30M and a buy-back clause. Juventus will offer €12M with the formula of the loan with the option to buy. Real Madrid will say no, unless they’ll obtain an option to ease the purchase of Pogba next season. In the last hours, Wolfsburg joined the race for the striker with a very high bid: around €20M plus 5M of add-ons (2M easy to reach, 3M more difficult). Morata is a hot topic in the transfer market, Juventus is still in the lead, waiting to find a solution with Perez’s Real.

we are not expecting 30 mil lol, it's just a tactic to get the highest bid possible. it worked great with higuain, we got 40 mil for that scrub
22 mil for a guy who hasnt started 3 la liga games in a row is robbery

Tbf Napoli were sitting ducks in the transfer market
Selling a match winning clutch striker the year after selling Lavezzi, they basically had to buy whichever big name striker was out there or risk some riots in Napoli

AC Milan are increasing their interest in Iturbe and he is top of their wishlist, according to Sky Italia. If Kaka leaves, the money saved from his wages could be used to get Iturbe.
