forget isla, wtf is Osvaldo doing at juve? or any top European team for that matter. jesus this guy is crap. if marrotta pays 15 mil for this guy in july he should be flogged, tarred and feathered. im actually relieved to see giovinco if that's even possible.

Vucinic changed our whole team play. Giovinco is and great joker. Its time for 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with Gio and Vuci in play.

Me from the GS wrote:1-0 Juventus. Rather slow match but tactically interesting. Lyon despite not dominant in any stretch during the game looked comfortable as a whole during the 1st half; Osvaldo-Tevez a pairing which doesn't work nor does it make sense, especially given the disconnect from midfield to the forwards. 2nd half Conte had his team playing at a higher tempo (to which was needed initially). Juventus were rather languid in the midfield in the 2nd half yet quickened the tempo in the final third. Change for Vucinic and Giovinco as always works like a charm given how well they compliment each other, Giovinco causing numerous problems with his dribbles while Vucinic dropping deep and laying it off caused a false reference point for Lyon to worry about.

-Finishing was poor from Juve as they also had little presence in the box. Vucinic's missed finish, Cheillini's puzzling lay off and Isla's heavy touch cost them more goals.

-Lack of true defensive midfielder was very much on display for Juventus, the wingbacks provided little protection.

-Pirlo didn't dominate the touches as much as he does yet his passes when acquiring touches were superb.

-Bonnuci the MOTM. Distributed well, held the ball excellently as Pirlo advanced forward, was superb in defence (along with Cheillini) and scored a perfectly weighted finish for the vital goal returning to the Juventus Stadium. Composed performance.

-Maxime Gonalons easily Lyon's best. Always said any team would be lucky to acquire his signature. Very complete midfielder and had an excellent battle with Paul Pogba.

agreed but if we are really considering 4-3-3 next season i feel selling Gio would be a grave mistake dude can ball on the wings....

I only caught the last 7 minutes or so, but why the hate on Isla, he's just starting to regain his form and confidence, just give him some time, he looked good against Napoli and other games. To be honest, I like Osvaldo because he seems like a nice guy, but Idk if I would spend 15 million, not even sure about 10 million on him. I would rather spend/add that money for a right winger. Giovinco played nice from what I saw.

Good against Napoli?Good today? he was non existent in defense, ffs he can't even control the ball, in all of the passes and crosses he got he didn't receive them in good way it was like watching balls bounce of a wall

Good good. So I guess hw will make it to the livorno game. I really want to see him and vuci play alongside each other soon. Llorente isn't playing well, despite his sweaty goal vs milan.

I personally thought it was a very poor game from us, as someone said in the GS, if Lyon were a tiny bit better they could have possibly won.
