SAS were by far our worst players today, but really hope sturridge sub was a pre caution. Will massively miss Hendo in that Chelsea game Sad

Tbf, he has a point. Liverpool have been able to focus solely on the league for a while now, while everyone else have been focusing on 3/4 other tournaments too.

Not taking anything away from Liverpool, just stating facts

It's a bit a skewed selection of facts though Laughing

Because if it was such a big advantage, surely every other season a team from 6th or 7th place would go on to win the title?
Fact is without years of CL, big game experience, self confidence, and above all MONEY gets lost, money which can be used to buy better players.

But if it makes you feel better, you know, as an Arsenal fan, then sure, the hardsip of playing CL up to the 1/16 every year is what's keeping you from winning stuff

You can't possibly think it isn't a big advantage. Most teams 6th or 7th aren't a sleeping giant with a couple of superb players, and some old players from when they used to be a top team

Being out of the CL for years being a big advantage? I honestly can't believe I'm debating this nonsense with you guys.

That's Maureen's line, btw, you know the one he presciently sent ahead to have an excuse.

But if it makes you feel better, you know, as an Arsenal fan, .. then sure, the hardsip of playing CL up to the 1/16 every year is what's keeping you from winning stuff Very Happy

i was just talking about this season in solely, liverpool have some how managed to find a team that is good enough for the title, brilliant, i am just simply saying that no CL has giving them a huge advantage this campaign, as a club of course they havent benefited from not being in the CL, but its just a personal minor issue i have with the title win. it can also be seen as romantic that a club not in the CL can win the league, so it goes both ways. moreover, You can argue that because other clubs have been in the CL they should have had the money to build squads that can cope with all competitions by now, so its their fault.

so not blaming liverpool, but i was just giving my biased view on who id like to win the EPL. If we were to look at this season, and line up all the title contenders at the start of the season. liverpool had the advantage of no CL football so from my bias view, i didnt want them to win it.

Liverpool should have been forced to play 6/7 friendlies around Europe to compensate for them being title challengers while not playing in CL Laughing.

btw those 6/8 group/Last 16 games are the bulk of the CL campaign, they do take a lot out of a squad playing on Wednesday/ Saturday. CL side always play sluggish on the weekend after midweek CL, thus dropping point throughout the season.

moreover, injuries are more likely to happen. walcott got his long term injury in a CL group game if i remember correctly.

We raped them in the first half and in the second they were better but didn't take advantage of our mistakes.

BUT WHO GIVES A SHIT WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE

Chelsea Vs Liverpool is going to be unreal now. Chelsea know they can win the league if they win at Anfield. Liverpool know they have to win otherwise City will go ahead.

I don't know when we will see again a similar league as that.
As neutral fan I would like  never ending it .
Not even a director of a movie would have created a similar scenario.
Best EPL ever?

Chelsea still require City to drop points to win the title, even if Chelsea beat Liverpool.

We're easily the most wasteful team in the League. A match that should have been at least 6-0 ended up like that. Jesus Christ.

Disgraceful decision making and finishing from the entire team today. That was worse than City away and our profligacy in front of goal might end up costing us a League we should be walking.
