Either most of you are underrating Sturridge or seriously overrating Aguero.
Fusion of both, I surmise.

Re: Better player, Sturridge or Aguero?
I really like Studge and called him a top player when he was at Chelsea, but Aguero atm is an absolute monster... the only thing that Sturridge is better at is staying fit for a season. Atleast so far.

Sturridge has scored in every game he has played after his return from injury. Unreal..
8 games, 9 goals, 2 assists

That's the great thing about him, scores in nearly every game rather than stat-padding against fodder.
He's also a big game player. Only big team he hasn't scored against since he joined Liverpool is Spurs I think. Has scored against Chelsea, United, Arsenal, City, Newcastle, Everton etc

Aguero. I'll wait till Sturridge can reproduce this form over a long period of time.

It's not as clear a question as some make it to be. Aguero is playing in front of an incredible squad with no financial restrictions on the club. To be honest, I seriously doubt that if Liverpool had Aguero that he would have put together as great numbers as Sturridge has.

So Atletico while Aguero was there was better than the current Liverpool team?

Aguero has been great his his early 20's meanwhile Sturridge really stepped up the last 2 years or so.
I'd still choose Aguero if I have too but currently they are both equal imo.

Re: Better player, Sturridge or Aguero?
Sturridge has 30 goals in 37 games so far in his Liverpool career. That rate is better than many world class STs ffs.
Though Aguero is a beast of his own.

Look at City with and without Aguero and not at skewed stats and then ask yourself who the better player is.

Re: Better player, Sturridge or Aguero?
Look at how since Sturridge was bought, Liverpool went from a midtable team to legitimate title contenders in just over a year.lszanto wrote:Gil wrote:Aguero 17 games, 15 goals, 5 assists

Yet they seemed just fine when he was out injured. City can't even score against Norwich.
