Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Wade fakes people with a step back, not straight up behind the 3 point line.. With 1 minute left in a close game ffs.. And if he has faked somebody like that, they're just as stupid as him.. It wasn't like he was on him tight and bit while Pierce jumped into him to draw a foul, Pierce got him up and just drove right in the lane.. It's really the worst type of pump fake, like something from a Harlem Globetrotters game
What does this have to do with LeBron? He wasn't the one making mistakes down the stretch of a close game
He killed like 3 sec off the clock, do u think they try that difficult back cut with 6+ seconds on the clock? No
You act like Bosh and Wade carried the game, all 3 had around 20 points

Phil Jackson is officially a New York Knick.

Someone who will bring in an intelligent coach
Someone who will have a plan and an actual basketball system in place

He had not been making that shot all night.. That was an incredibly tough fadeaway. I can't remember how much time was left on the shot clock but if it was anything more than 5, that was a bad shot.
edit: also no one will blame him because he's a complimentary player at this point. But Ray should've hit at least 1 of those 2 threes he took

Nice move for the Knicks if true; can only find a cbslocal link on it.. I'm assuming that's President of Basketball Operations he's taking over right.
About time some team gave PJ a chance in a front office.
What do you think about Steve Kerr as a first time head coach?

Either way, Brooklyn this year are just a reminder of Chicago & Boston in 2011, Indiana in 2012, Indiana & Chicago in 2013.
All dominating the Heat in the reg season but still get sent home in the playoffs.
Its no big deal.

I rarely get on a player for missing open shots, but I don't like not passing to the open man and taking a difficult shot.. Allen was off but LeBron kept feeding him down the stretch, if he missed 10 in a row and was open he would still hit him all day.. That's the way it should be
If it were the other way around you know damn well LeBron would pass to Wade

Confirmed on NBA tv
Would really like Steve kerr.. He's a smart guy, l believe he can coach a team. Honestly the coaching market is really thin, there aren't many guys available other than maybe bringing in one of the Van Gundies.. l'd like to bring in a rookie coach, like the Celtics did or dare l say even the nets...and kerr would be perfect. He and PJ can maybe get the same sort of chemistry of new coach/president mentor like Spo and Pat Reily have. l'd be all for it.

Correct but i do think Brooklyn will cause more of a problem than Indy and Chicago in 2012 and 2013.
Unlike those two teams they have numerous players who can create their own shot to break down the defense.
Still expect you to deal with them with room to spare but in terms of match ups they pose a bigger threat in terms of what they can do offensively and taking advantages of mismatches. ( not to mention they have a far superior bench)
That's if you play them anyway, as far as i'm aware as the seedings are at this moment they would face Pacers in 2nd round no?
Won't matter in the end though as i still expect Pacers and Heat in ECF as everyone else does, still though and i said this to Dani in chat the other day i do think the East playoffs are going to be a lot more competitive than people think.

To add to Mole's point, the Nets have the best record of any East team since the start of the new year.
It's a real shame Lopez is injured, because they seem to be finding some form now.

Really disappointed that Lopez won't be able to come back....
Mainly because its never nice to see players injured same goes for Rose in Chicago but also because a 20ppg big man would have been huge in the post season.
Well that and my fantasy team has missed him something terrible
Anyway Stephen A knee jerks harder than Gen section posters on here sometimes Said if Nets keep winning then Jason Kidd has to be under serious consideration for coach of the year
I mean he's done great since beginning of January but are we forgetting what their record was between October and December lol?

Steve Nash: "It's just a reality. I'm not going to retire because I want the money. It's honest."
“You’re going to have people say he’s so greedy he’s got to take this last little bit…Yes, I do. I have to take this last little bit.”
"I’m sorry if that’s frustrating to some but if they were in my shoes they would do the exact same thing."
"I still love the game enough, still love the fight and want to do everything I can to get back out there."
Amazing stuff
Keep getting them cheques dawg,
question? lakers could cut him right? and continue paying his salary while he is off the salary cap?

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Brah, I could argue that part of the reason the Nets are playing better is because they're without Lopez. I just never fancied them having their offense built around him. I mean, he can score and all but their offense always looked disconnected trying to feed him 80% of the time. I don't think they'd be playing this well without him, not to mention he's a shit defender.
I can't entirely explain this in detail, but from the games I saw in October-December and the ones I'm seeing now, I'd say Lopez's absence also played a role in their new form.

You might have a point there although i do think his defense is better than people think.
Still though my fantasy team is missing a 20ppg centre with 2 blocks a game ffs.
Gotta prioritize the important stuff.

I doubt anyone for the Nets would agree. More likely, they (Kidd included) needed time to figure out what he had and how the team should play.
Its very possible moving forward Kidd would of molded the team with Lopez in mind. Plus, Lopez is a very willing passer and can play in the high or low post.
Find it hard to believe his presence would of stopped them figuring out a way of playing consistently.

Yeah its a maybe, but I kinda get the feeling it was part of their problems even though they didn't realise it.
Also think trading Terry was a brilliant move. Thornton is much, much better for them.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Its hard to tell.
I think the biggest thing personale wise was as you say, Thornton for Terry, aswell as AK returning and more Teletovic minutes.
In terms of bigmen, I think KG needs to play the 5 (even though he hates it). If there was a problem with him and Lopez together, it was that because their wings (Johnson, PP) are so slow to go along with two slower front court players..overall the line up is super slow and they struggled to get transition baskets.
