Another trap game tonight against the Wiz..

So I saw someone say Blake Griffin is top 5 this year, and I tend to agree with it. But even so, I don't think he's a top ten player, just on skill set.

But he's balling out of his mind.

I'd go a step further..... he's top 3 this year.

I don't see anyone else outside of Durant and Lebron who is having a better year.

What he did without CP3 was nothing short of outstanding and it got lost in the shuffle a bit because of what KD was doing without Westbrook.

But impressively enough since CP3 came back unlike KD he's not deferring anywhere near as much to his alpha team mate.

He still needs to improve his D and his post game ( although it has undeniably improved) so he's not in the elite level based on skillset.

But taking this season in isolation and ignoring his skillset and just looking at production that is contributing to one of the best records in the league i can't look beyond him.

Wouldn't surprise me, the guy also called Melo, Paul George, James Harden superstars.

I'm still not sold on Blake. The biggest improvement to his game this year to me has been his hustle. Grabbing a lot of second chance opportunities, tip backs etc.

Still waiting for the post-season, especially if they go up against Memphis.

Surely there's a difference between saying someone is top 5 this season and saying he's top 5 in general though?

No one in their right mind would say based on skillset that Griffin is top 5 but to say his production with regards to winning this season is top 5 is not far off the mark IMO.

FYI i agree with you completely on not being completely sold and he has to show up where it matters.

But there's two completely different things between being a top 5 player in general and being a top 5 player of the season considering how many different viables there are in just a season.

MVP race is pretty much over now. Lebron needed to keep being hot to keep the conversation going. That's done and dusted now. Hopefully we'll see angry Lebron in the playoffs against OKC(yes, I think the Finals will be Miami-OKC).


Bynum could be important for the Pacers btw. But like Mole said, that's if he actually gives a shit

I'll be honest i haven't seen very many non-Miami games for Brooklyn this season but the ones i have he usually isn't this good.

He is getting on though so its not that surprising that he picks and chooses lol.

Still capable of going off though, interesting to note that Brooklyn won this game without two of their better defenders in KG and AK

That was an error, but 3.5 was still a lot of time to get a good shot.


I see how you're just trying your best to not put any blame on Lebron whatsoever pls go. If it weren't for Wade(and Bosh) in the first place, this would have been a blowout.

Wade fakes people with a step back, not straight up behind the 3 point line.. With 1 minute left in a close game ffs.. And if he has faked somebody like that, they're just as stupid as him.. It wasn't like he was on him tight and bit while Pierce jumped into him to draw a foul, Pierce got him up and just drove right in the lane.. It's really the worst type of pump fake, like something from a Harlem Globetrotters game

What does this have to do with LeBron? He wasn't the one making mistakes down the stretch of a close game
