The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
If you want to stay in college, that's fine by me. But then stay all four years, doesn't make sense otherwise.

Most lotto picks aren't going to sit on the bench for a year though
Unless they go to a good team...
like Jeremy Lamb hardly played his rookie year cause he ended up on OKC but I think he learned more there than he would've with a 3rd year in college tbh. He had already done everything there was to do basically
like Sam said though if you're not a top 10-15 type of guy you should definitely consider staying another year

Yeah my arguments were only for a projected top pick in the draft, if you're not, then it's better to stay in college just to improve your draft stock.dmize wrote:Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:So none of you think you can improve your game a lot more staying another year than sitting on the bench all year?

Durant ffs
Also Dmize i wasn't really talking about first round picks tbf, just in general scheme of things there's quite a big percentage of guys who could really do with that extra year and are forced to go over to Europe or minor leagues to earn a living.

Suns probably have the best chance of any to beat the Pacers in the 5 game road trip they have atm.
I still expect Pacers to win though.

Aldridge is an ideal Center in international basket, isn't he? And so should Davis be. Can't really see Howard offer anything to this team.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I think the most interesting case, as always, is the bigs.
Guards are everywhere, and you really just need to get into the league and adjust. College isn't going to help you much, other than maybe personal development. Which is worth it sometimes, but hard to say exactly when. JR Smith would probably have benefited from a year in college, Kobe wouldn't. It's down to mentality and how you react to the league.
Bigs, I feel as though, even though they have access to better resources in the NBA, and better competition, should more seriously consider staying in school.
Mostly because if they know what they're doing, they will likely get time immediately, and thus, have a much stronger chance at staying in the league. But also because it gives them some time to develop an individual game.
For example Dmzie, I think Drummond could have benefited. To me, given the nature of his athleticism, everything he's doing so far you expected.
But, given the fact that he's playing 82 games a year, and has a bunch of much better offensive players around him, how much can he really develop his offensive game. Imagine him four years from now coming in with a 15 footer, a couple moves on the block, a good understanding of defence and a respectable free throw percentage.
College is a really nice buffer zone for developing things like that. So that when you reach the league, you don't need to just spontaneously try new things, but more just adjust to the league. Not that the former is impossible to do, people have done it, but I'm guessing the familiarity of the latter is much easier.

Yeah both of them would be fine at C, realistically we should be fine with just 1 true center in which case I would take Cousins.

Only one true PG (maybe two) on that roster, a bunch of 1.5's and 2's masquerading as PG's
Should of went with Wall, but I assume its because his jumper isn't there yet which is important in International play.. He's the second best American pass-first PG in the league
(well a healthy Rondo is on par actually)

While completely fair, what was lost in Durant ongoing domination was my man Parker up to his old tricks.

MVP decided in January ?
If Durant keeps carrying OKC to wins with these ridiculous numbers and efficiency there's nothing anyone can do.
If not its a farce.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Not really i just don't believe the MVP should be decided in January no matter how well Durant or Lebron performs against one another.
It would be as much as a farce as the PL player of the year votes going out in February as it does
Not that it will be but that's what your implying.
Lebron is the best player in the world but due to a number of different factors he's not going to perform to the level that Durant is performing to atm.
If he keeps it up then its not even close.
