The refs were against us the whole game, it was unbelievable. 

The refs were a disgrace and should be investigated.

We had 24 free-throws to 51 Kings.  

One of the worst I've ever seen, but I can't lie, when it goes the other way and the guy gets free throws I'm equally pissed.

On close outs, sometimes in general a guy will square up and extend his legs on a shot, hoping to create some contact, looking for free throws. Wade does it all the time and the refs give them to him.

Gotcha and yes, I am with you on that. One of my biggest basketball pet peeves is when guys create contact and expect a foul to be called. I played with a kid in high school who just couldn't help from kicking his legs out (I don't think he was doing it purposely).

Im not so hype on that honestly.

I dont know what Mclemore can do, so I will reserve judgement on him. But if we going rookies, Oladipo intrests me to some degree.

Lillard isnt a big dunker, he thrown a few down but I dont see anything especially creative. Wall I am not sure about either, he is creative though so I would have hopes for him.

I am good with Ross, Barnes and George though, but I did hear George talk about involving Jimmy Kimmel...maybe he was joking but the fact he thinks like that worries me that he going to go with props and bs instead of actual dunks.

Get Drummond in this thing, or maybe DeAndre Jordan even.

McLemore is a high flyer, I would pick him as a dark horse..

Dunk Contest has been played out for the longest time.

Lillard doesn't have the athleticism needed for a guy his size to win. Off the top I can't really remember a memorable dunk he's had.

McLemore will be alright I think, he had some nice dunks at Kansas

Why do they need something to gain? i agree with what your saying btw its just disappointing with the likes of Wilkins and MJ doing it back in the day and now their equivalents are nowhere to be found and lets be honest we are left mainly with scrubs.

The sneakers that people are killing each other for nowadays? The amount of promotion and push that the Dunk Contest USED to have, no surprise the best were always there.

Nowadays, it's all about the ring. EVERYTHING else is a cheap second. The way that the Ring has been pushed, I'm not surprised the best are never in it, they'd be accused of not caring enough about winning (not like I would watch it if they were anyway imo).

Just the way this New Era is for some reason.

LeBron is the only player who could 'bring it back' tbh.. But he should have done it in '09 at Dallas Stadium.. That was the perfect stage

Bring it back to what?

There are only two outcomes if he enters the contest:

1. If he wins, it'll be, "Yeah, so what? It's just a dunk contest, nothing special. Popularity contest etc."
2. If he loses, "HAH! He lost! He'll never be Jordan, he can't even win a dunk contest!"

No one has time to hear that rubbish.

Bring back the excitement, make casual fans interested in it.. It would only be for 1 year but whatever.. It would surely be the most watched dunk contest since the 80's..

But that's not what happened. The dunk contest was done by those guys because they wanted to be called the best dunker.

It was always about the ring, but its the same principle...wanting to be "the best". That was what was the gain and still would be now..though this new generation have a problem with competition, they dont like it.

Rising Stars draft is more proof that the TNT crew has no clue about the NBA outside of the top teams
