I was more "offended" (none of it offended me but bare with me for a second) with KD claiming everything is down to God. That stuff be annoying as hell.
Doris reaction was fine, too many bitch ass people these days.
People shouting out God proclamations real easy, shouldnt be a big deal when someone questions the logic.

I don't even think she questioned his response, she just didn't expect him to give God all the credit. Anyway, I really don't mind when athletes do this (although I do think it takes away from all the hard work said athlete has put in). But we are all entitled to our own believes and if Durant wants to give God/Jesus credit, I don't think we are in the place to tell him otherwise.
@Freeza, I don't think he believes God has neglected the poor/starving, but more so that God has gifted him with the abilities/body which makes him capable of being a baller. Another thing, this career will give Durant the opportunity to help out those in need, but I understand the point you were trying to make.

Yeah but he said everything, there's a big difference, maybe it's just me, but I feel it discredits not just his, but other athlete's hard work and dedication.
And I seriously don't understand the hate on Doris Burke for laughing. She obviously didn't mean any harm by it. The vocal part of internet is also some of the most ignorant people, so I don't think much by it.

Ya, people have always been on him. Last couple years I thought they were being unreasonable, he only shot a couple a game, but now he's pushing it. Free throws getting worse too. Doesn't help that he's playing as a three most of the time.
Won't lie, I really like him as a player and he'd make a really good 4-5 combination with Drunnomd, but they wanted to hold on to Monroe. Both their stock is pretty low right now as a result.

Agreed.
A trade is needed imo. He still has some value since he is still a very good defender but, this is ridiculous.

He is entitled to this opinion and if his belief is correct, he wouldn't be wrong. Abilities aside, there would be no Kevin Durant if he was never created, so I don't mind him being grateful.
I get where you're coming from, but the same way you are entitled to believe what you want, so is Durant. I would be curious to know how his teammates feel about statements like that.
As far as Doris Burke laughing, it seemed innocent enough, however she is in a professional setting. In most professions we have to leave that stuff at home, so I would not paint her as a complete innocent. I have not read the hate she has been getting (I'm sure much of it is over the top), although I'm sure she wishes she could take that back. People feel very strongly about their beliefs...how would you feel if you believed in something and someone just laughed it off?

Who was it on here that tried to convince me Josh Smith was a great player again?
No idea what the Pistons were thinking signing him. Should have just tanked the season away for Wiggins/Jabari and build around that incredible froncourt.

I don't have a problem with Durant sending all the praise to god, it's his life and he can do what he wants.. All religions should be respected for that reason also, to each his own.. But her laugh was clearly innocent, KD wasn't offended her comment so nobody else should be
I have a problem with the reactions and some of those comments on the bottom of the page.. They can't be serious

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I havent checked in a while, but Smith is shooting like 4.5 3's per game..that is downright outragous.
I dont even blame him though, this was bound to happen when you play him at the 3. Teams give him open 3's and he takes them...if he played the 4, his real position, he would naturally be much closer to the basket and this wouldnt be an issue.
He still is a very good player, an allstar level talent, but playing him at the 3 is just stupid.

I definitely saw it as a light hearted chuckle, nothing more. Completely agree that it was innocent.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I liked Ray Allens response last summer regarding this
Everyone wishes they could shoot like Ray. They tell him that all the time. They are envious, they say, of his God-given talent.
"An insult," says Allen. "God could care less whether I can shoot a jump shot."

A few seasons ago he only shot 7 threes all year.
Not coincidentally that was the only season he shot over 50%

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Just read the god comments here and I want to say I agree with those who think it's a little ignorant and even down right idiotic that athletes praise god for all the hard work they put in.
Ray Allen Love that comment.
Even footballers do this, which I mean I don't mind since everyone has their belief and opinion but to say that it's ALL down to god like Durant did, it's just too f*ckin stupid to sit there and listen to.
Also regarding Dorris Burke's laughter. It doesn't even seem that her chuckle is directed at the fact that he says it's all down to god, but more directed at the tone he says it in.
PS. Curry just shat on the Jazz with 44 Season high

Well, I do think they can thank god a little (or perhaps their parents). Most balllers won some sort of genetics lottery, but guys like Durant and Lebron won the powerball.
Anyway, for once in my life, I agree with Swag. People being way too sensitive. That was an amicable exchange, only people with a huge agenda to push gonna go looking for anything controversial in that.
Edit:
Hibbert
Bynum
West
Scola
Mahimi
Stating the obvious, but if those guys are fit, that's one nasty front-court.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Not too mention the 2nd unit of Bynum, Scola and Granger is pretty sick tbf if they all play to their potential.
The only apprehension i have is would he be professional and accept the fact his minutes will be limited to what he's usually expected?
I suppose Bird will keep him in line though.
Also i still think they turnover the ball far too much and a bit surprised they haven't tried to move Granger for another guard.... but none the less on the flip side they will beast anyone inside.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I don't think he can play more than 20-25 minutes anyway. Will he be professional? probably not.
Really and truly, just being on a winning team will help. And on a team that emphasizes going inside. While he was on the Lakers with Phll, even when he was fourth fiddle, he wasn't a problem.
I think the reasons for not trading Granger are twofold. They see him as part of the team, and they don't want to take on more salary. He expires at the end of the year, and that gives them the room they need to re-sign Stephenson and maybe someone else.
But at the end of the day, he's still immature.
Do the Pacers need to let that affect them? I don't think so.

I doubt he'll see any minutes come ECF time.
Should be there to give rest to Hibbert during the remainder of the regular season.
Still a HUGE jackass though, wouldn't surprise me if he messed it up before he even touches the court.

Still can't believe Irving made the All star game. Got destroyed by Lin and Beverley tonight.
Anthony Davis with another monster night as well as Dragic. Both of them should have made the all star game in all honesty.

Singing Bynum was a great move, even if for the sole reason that nobody else will have him to use against Hibbert.
What he brings to table for the Pacers is only a plus after that. And they wont rely on him because Mahimi is an excellent defensive center, probably better than Bynum at this point.
