Modric is the best player in La Liga nowadays

Luka Modric is playing out of his mind all this season long, I dont see a player playing at this level in the whole tournament, not even Ronaldo or Messi in the first months, the same Costa or whatever. This man is playing level Iniesta 2011 or something like that, defense, playmaking, passes, skills, dribbling, stamina, he looks to be at the best moment in his career, and nobody talks about him. All three can play as playmakers. When you're a good playmaker youre able to play more in front, if we sign Gundogan, we can sell Khedira and we have Alonso Illarra Gundogan to rotate with Modric who can play offensive midfielder too same as Isco. Khedira out Gundogan in, it seems a good change.

Gundogan-Xabi-Modric is a good midfield.

Not true.

He hasn't had a single good performance against a big team in his career.

BRB Dortmund when they are strolling after winning the first leg 4-1.

BRB Man Utd when they are down to 10 men.

These are all anyone can say for his entire career, he shrinks when it matters always has done.

When he does that and repeats it consistently then i will give him his due.

Same Modric who wilts like a dying Orchid when pressed and whose passes bob like a beach ball on an Atlantic storm. Everytime he has the ball it looks as if he will produce something brilliant yet does not utilize options beyond is limited vision. The fact that he has to move so much on the ball to produce space for a pass, rather than having the technique to navigate the ball for his pass, tells it all.

Merely just a good player in his prime having the season of his life. Does not compare anywhere near the top-end of midfielders in this current stage.

To be complete you need a lot more than to have what Modric has.
