Wenger said, “On the whole I am very satisfied. We might be able to do a little more, people say that we lack a physical presence in midfield, one profile at a Vieira or Petit, it’s true that this is what we need.”

So he knows but still doesn't do anything about it? hmm

The Gunners boss believes the Chilean slows down his team's passing game by lingering on the ball and preferred Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Aston Villa and Tottenham

Goal is a joke and Wayne Veysey is the biggest joke.

You know how I know Wayne has no idea what he is talking about because if Wenger could read the game this good we would be winning trophy after trophy.

Wayne is giving Wenger too much credit, Sanchez didn't start because he payed in the midweek. rofl

Arsenal do not have a ‘Plan B’
The Arsenal chief added: ‘That’s an old, ridiculous debate - I honestly never understand what is Plan A and Plan B and C. It’s a debate of another age.
‘I’ve watched the Chelsea game again and we were guilty of not taking the first chances which were there for us and guilty of making a defensive mistake on their goal, but there was very little between the two teams on the day.

An extract from a new book, "Invincible" by Amy Lawrence. Some really good stuff here:

Also, from the same book, Wenger describing his players:

I agree, very poor article, I thought it was joke tbh.
Not Ozil bashing but football is about what you see with your own eyes on the pitch. You watch the game and come to your own conclusion.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/oct/17/arsene-wenger-regret-career-arsenal-ashley-cole?CMP=twt_gu

"When you talk about getting the maximum from your team over a season, although you did in the league, did you feel that didn’t happen in the other competitions? Yes, because that year we could have won the Champions League. Three days before we played Chelsea in the Champions League we played Man United in the FA Cup. I did not want to sacrifice the FA Cup, so I thought I would play a team I thought could beat Man United. The game was at Villa Park and I remember Man United on the day kicked us. Reyes got kicked, we lost some players, we lost some mental strength, and three days later we lost against Chelsea in the final minutes of the game. I could see we were jaded. So I think if I made a mistake that season, that was not to sacrifice the game against Man United. Many times the Champions League conflicts with the FA Cup and you sit there and think, What do I do? [He exhales deeply] That season we could have won everything. I tried to do it. We had the squad to do it. We had 16 or 17 players of top, top level "

Interesting, perhaps this explains why he always favoured the Champions league over the FA Cup during our trophy drought years hmm
