If Nasri was still in Arsenal shirt you'd be claiming M'biwa should be given the death penalty ffs.

The tackle was disgusting.

I watched it in original speed again, and. I'm with mole. These things always look worse when they're slowed down.

+1

Slowed down it looks like he is going in just for the kick and looks very malicious. While it was dumb it was just really badly timed.

So he had no intent to tackle him knee high on the follow through... with his other leg THAT CONNECTED WITH HIS KNEE all because it looks okay in "original" speed and worse on slow-mo?

His first initial contact (with his right leg) was a yellow on it's own. The left leg is a red card any day of the week. If this was to any player that played for the team you'd supported, you'd be claiming it was a 3 game suspension...

Tackle was as stupid as the Mirallas tackle at Everton on Suarez (studs up to Luis' knee). Ironically, he only got a yellow card too... lol

I didn't say there was no intend. There is. The second go Mbiwa has at Nasri is evident to that. I'm just saying it is not THAT bad.

Even on intent on it's own, it's a straight red card. Ref bottled it because he didn't give the goal (which again, should of stood)

And read the edit above.

Not THAT bad. He could potentially be out for the season, how is that not THAT bad ffs. Are tackles to the knees okay nowadays?

I never said it was the worst tackle I've/you've ever seen. That doesn't mean it's not malicious. It's a red card any day of the week.

It comes from the side and hits him from above the shin. The way you're talking it sounds like he's gone in studs up on his knee. In no way is it a fine tackle but it's not a career ender, worse incidents have gone unseen/unpunished.

It was a kick, Nasri is just plain unlucky he's got such a bad injury. You dont get reds in the PL for that easily though, Anyways, Yang Mbro is shit.

Have to say it was soul destroying watching Everton/ManUtd/City/Chelsea/Spurs all win their games before we kick off tomorrow. As a fan....but thank god we passed the test.

Now next week is payback time.
We play Villa on saturday, (hopefully win), and then I can sit on my ass on sunday and monday and watch Everton/Spurs/United all play tricky away games Very Happy

First time in PL history that everyone in the top 7 managed to win 3 points.

Strange. To me it looks much worse in real time. In slow motion you don't really see the force that he clobbered him with. Technically it doesn't look very dangerous, but when you see in real time how much force he hit him with its a disgusting challenge. It wasn't mistimed, it doesn't even look mistimed, he's admitted he tried to take him down. Cynical challenge and although he didn't intend to injure that was the risk of his recklessness
